Finding an Antique Badge

Hello everyone. I am an A-phi alum who's badge was ruined. I was going to buy a new one but then I read an online article about adopting antique badges. It is better that the badge go to a sister rather than a collector. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on where I should be looking. I have been to both ebay and vintagepins.com Thanks.

Pins...

I have "rescued" many an Alpha Phi pin from E-bay. UGH! I have, in fact, spent a great deal of money on these rescue efforts. I ardently believe that our pins should be kept "in the family."

My advice is: keep checking E-bay. They come up all the time. You have to be willing to bid, bid, bid (and sometimes high). Hang in there and I am sure you'll eventually get one. E-mail others who are bidding. Hopefully they are Alpha Phi sisters too, who will be willing to let you have it. I know there are many out there who are trying just as hard as I am to outbid collectors. I would never outbid an Alpha Phi sister though.

Hope that helps.

Jen
