Red face Need Help!!!

Our Soroity is in a sticky situation, our University has kicked us off. They made us join a national 5 years ago or pay five thousand dollars each semester for insurance. Now, we have found out that we can not be part fo that National anymore, because they allow anyone who pays the fee to be in there group with out really pledging, so we would have no pledging process. How do you guys stay on campus? Do you have to pay the money? Any tips on what we can do? We have tried everything, I just don't know what we should do?

I assume you are not talking about an NPC group. Why were you kicked off campus? If you are no longer recognized, good luck...you'll need it.

QFP. Just trying to make sure I understand. Are you upset that you can no longer haze?

That's kind of unfair to assume. There's a lot of stops between hazing and letting anyone in who pays a fee - because there are some groups that really do do the latter.

Tell the national group that your quality of members has gone down seriously, and ask if you can change up the pledge program (or lack of same) a little bit. You might not be able to do some of the things you did as a local, but if they really are denying you the right to be selective in your membership/bidding decisions and then giving you no way to determine fitness for membership, that is a dumb move on their part - they're setting themselves up for a national group full of weak members.

Could you clarify a tad? Are you NPC, or local, or what? I'm just a little unsure of your situation. Not having recognition will be harder, but it's not hopeless, and it definitely does have its benefits.
