To the Dallas/Fort Worth GChaters...

I'm flying in for a wedding in June. The wedding is in Muenster -- which someone told me is in the middle of nowhere, about an hour northwest of DFW. Since I'm unfamiliar with Dallas, can someone recommend a decent town to stay in between Muenster and the airport? I'm only staying overnight and not looking to be downtown to do any sightseeing.

Thanks!

Oops..typing too fast..ignore the subject line typo! Not sure how to change it.

It looks like the closest city is going to be Gainesville. Denton is a nice area to stay in, but it's about an hour away from Muenster. Unless you don't mind driving a lot, you probably won't find anything within the actual metroplex.

I know there's not going to be anything anywhere near Muenster. I'm just wondering which areas off of I-35 are decent areas to stay in.

I'd say Denton, if you don't mind the drive.

There's a fairly new Holiday Inn in Denton that's really nice, my line sister had her wedding reception there last year.

I actually ended up with a great deal at the Westin DFW, so that's where I'm staying. A bit of a drive, but I have two weddings to attend that day -- one in the morning in Muenster, and one in the afternoon in Grapevine.

cool, well you'll love the Westin, that one is nice. Plus it's right by Grapevine, and with two weddings in one day, you'll be glad

Not looking forward to that day at all! Especially since my fiance decided yesterday that he would go -- only to find out plane tickets jumped 200 bucks! I only know the groom at the wedding in Grapevine, so its going to be awkward.
