New DG

Pardon the crash ladies, but my principal's daughter just pledged Delta Gamma at Denison University. She is so excited! You all got an amazing young woman. Her mom was wondering where you all have pictures/prices of your badge (if you have any that the public can see). She wants to get her daughter the blinged out badge and wants to know how much to set aside for it. Thanks and congrats!

It's been a very long time since I ordered a badge but she can try here.

If this doesn't work, she can always just go to DG's main web site and follow the links.

The blinged out badges truly are beautiful, but I wanted to mention that the "basic ones" are also very beautiful and elegant.

I saw this b/c I lost my badge (it was a "basic one" but I loved it just the same) while helping out at Preference (and it was even pinned on WITH the bubble guard). I was very sad about this, but it would have been even worse if it was one of the more expensive ones in the selection line. (eeek! Can you imagine).

So, whichever one the daughter receives, please pass along the caveat to the Mom to tell her to always check that the lil' guy is pinned on securely. Mine was (or so I thought) and I still lost it!

Oh and BuckeyeTriDelta, maybe you should pick up something for yourself? I always thought this Delta necklace was really beautiful!

or diamonds, perhaps?

I think she (my boss) wanted to more along the lines of pass along to her daughter that she would help her pay for a more decorated one if she chose one for her badge. I didn't mean for it to come out as just your blinged badges are pretty because that is obviously not the case. I am not sure which one she chose, but I will make sure to pass along the whole make sure it is secure thing.

ETA: I do love that necklace. Absolutely stunning.

No worries BuckeyeTriDelta.

Let us know how the daughter likes her new badge, when she receives it.

eta: Buying a chapter "guard" might also help to secure the badge, as the badge would be pinned in two places (the badge + the guard) rather than just one. My badge doesn't have a chapter guard (which is my own personal preference) and so it is only pinned in 1 place (rather than 2).

Yes, you'd think that I would "learn".
