COB (COR) Virgins
My sorority is not part of a council on our campus (or nationally) so we do our own thing when it comes to recruitment. Each semester we hold a formal Rush Week following the same pattern. After a reasonable rush (4 girls) we lost every single one due to them not realizing the time commitment. Our winter rush this semester went fine with 3 new pledges (possibly 4 soon). However, our largest pledge class has only been 6 girls (and since then 2 have left due to school transfers), and we are starting to loose members to graduation.
So....in an attempt to increase our membership we are are going to be holding open recruitment sometime this semester. We have never done it before and are unfamiliar with the processes as a whole and the best way to go about it. I would appreciate any ideas regarding events, scheduling, how to present bids, etc. Also if anyone has general rush ideas for a small chapter that doesn't go through formal I would really appreciate it as well.
