Craziest Pet Names
I was just thinking today about my pets and their names. I have two dogs, one a blueheeler (or Catahoula) and one a Somma (some of this and some of that--he'll never tell! But he looks like a mix of German Shepard and something).
Anyways, these two dogs have seemingly strange names--Ignatius Starbucks who we call Iggy, and Javier Darwin who we call Buddy. But over the years, we have had several dogs, all of which had the strangest names, or so it seemed.
One dog was named, yes this was her actual name, Wonder Woman (o.k., I was 12 at the time) and we called her Bun Bun and several other variations. Another dog was named Brownie, one was named Pete Chief (he didn't last with us too long) and one was named Sheba (she was EEEVVVIIILLL) and RedRed.
The only cat that I've ever had was named Peaches Picadilly (her "original" name was Morris the Cat--yep, cause she looked like him until I looked and found out that "he" was really a she).
Just wondering was I the only one that had strange names for their pets?

My friend named her duck--Abigail Vanderquack. I thought it was cute. lol
My dog's name is Martini, I don't think it is that strange. And my cousin's little chihuahua is named Elvis.

When I was a little girl I had a dog that I named Curtis Mathis. *lol* Everyone else called him Jesse, but I refused. To me he was always Curtis Mathis.

One of my cats is named Schrodinger; I couldn't help myself.
In college, I had a Betta fish whose name was Tau (my chapter was Beta Tau )
My sister had a goldfish and named him Abercrombie the Fish.

My dogs are named Dipper and Stubby. Dipper's legs look like he was dipped in something, thus his name. When Stubby was a puppy, he had a little stub for a tail. Their names may be weird, but at least there's a reason haha.
My aunt's dog is named Boogie Man. I don't really know what's up with that one...haha

My family dog's name right now is pretty normal (Shiloh), but my parent's are getting a new puppy and my dad wants to name it PALIN, which I find hysterical.

My ex boyfriend's brother has two purebred boxers (registered with the AKC - it always seems that dogs that get registered with the AKC have nutty names). One's name is Eric's Holiday Styles, but he goes by Styles, and the others name is Eric's General Noriega, but he goes by Norie.
The man named both dogs after himself though, lol!
Our dog's AKC name is Lucky Blizzard Aces. Blizzard was his mommy's name, Aces was his daddy's name. I don't think Lucky is that weird a name for a dog though.

Well, AKC names are a whole 'nother story. They have to be distinctive, so they can get wacky. My boxer has what I think is a fairly "normal" AKC name - Kaiser Chief von (Belle's last Name). Kaiser for short - Kais for even shorter.

Registered cat names are weird, too. The reason for this is that you start out with the cattery name (prefix) and then can end with an owner's cattery name (suffix). So a cat is bred by a cattery name (say, Special) and then purchased by another breeder whose cattery name is added to the end (say, Wheaties). On top of this, the actual cats would always be called by their nicknames/call names. Okay, here goes, adding presumed titles:
Grand Champion, Grand Premier Special Simon of Wheaties (nickname:Si)
Other examples (these are ficticious):
Triple Champion Lesson's Momentous Occasion of Rianda
(nickname: Momo)
and
International Grand Champion Replication's Lasting Impression of Koolkats (nickname: Imp)
Pedigrees are so much fun to read, whether they are horses, dogs, cats or something else. The names on them are really weird at times.

After I get settled when I'm out of school, I plan to get a Corgi and name him Capt. Fuzzbutt, and my girlfriend has the option of calling him General Fluffybottom. Not joking.

Please don't do this to a Corgi. Give the dog its dignity! After all, this is the favored breed of the Queen of England.
