Look, I'm not saying you aren't doing some things right, so don't take this the wrong way but..... seriously buddy, you're posting a lot of identifying details about yourself on the internet. And this whole thing screams "socially desperate." Which isn't going to help you out with tiers at LSU. I have a few friends who go there, and you're not really going to change them much unless someone else gets kicked off or goes underground.

So why does it matter to you? If you keep doing all these things you described, rush numbers will pick up eventually (unless you keep doing awkward, socially desperate things like posting your specific chapter's specific problems on greekchat- you think people won't see this? You think a rushee won't see this?). And if not, who cares? you seem to be enjoying it, and you said yourself money wasn't a problem, so you don't "have" to up your numbers. Do what you do.

I'm gonna second something annabella said: it'll pick up eventually. You can't expect to have a 15 person pledge class one year and 60 person class the next. Yeah, it sucks that you don't have support from your chapter's alumni, but you have to build that up. Are there alumni in the area who aren't from your chapter but moved there after? We have support from women who went to school all over the place but live here now.

It sounds like you're on the right track (but maybe with a little more discretion), so just hang in there.

Have you considered the fact that posting all of this identifying info about the chapter on the internet is not going to help you?

There are alot of guys who come to GC looking for rush advice who are considering attending an SEC school. Even though most of them don't say which one, any number of them could be coming to LSU in the fall. They could see this and automatically rule you guys out.

Second on the alumni thing. If you don't have your own chapter's alumni to help, get help from other alumni. I guarantee some want to be involved. I didn't see your original post but have you contacted your HQ for alum living in the area and then sent out a letter to them all? I've found through experience that sometimes you really have to be persistent before the alums will even make an appearance. Get people to call them, don't e-mail, I've had so many alums e-mail me about being ecstatic on being involved, but when I call to follow up some turn out to be a lot busier.

A strong chapter has strong alumni, but if none want to come participate then you guys have to try twice as much as the other houses.
