Yes it would be very weird, not to mention disrespectful.

Since none of us QFP'd (sorry about that)
She stated that her "little brother was in a frat" and asked if it would be weird if she wore his letters on a shirt that she slept in or hung around in.

Um, yes. My little brother is in a FRATERNITY, and the thought of that is just really uncomfortable.

I guess it depends. I wear a guy friend's political campaign t-shirt (he is a state rep), but I don't even pay attention to what's on the shirt (comfy t-shirt... only wear t-shirts to lounge in at home). But my husband's sister has this weird attachment to her brother, so catching her stealing one of his polo shirts was full on creepy. And it was just a shirt, so nobody but her would know where it came from. But she can wear it and dream, or whatever the reason was for stealing one of his shirts.
Is it just a t-shirt? Is it the expensive kind with the letters appliqued on? I don't think it's a big deal unless YOU think it's a big deal. Then forget the shirt, and get counseling. HA!

IMHO, it's a tee-shirt that you are wearing to bed. What desire do you have to wear his letters to bed?
Oh, and by the way...I'm in a FRATERNITY. I would be extremely mad if I found out that one of my Brother's biological siblings were wearing our letters, even to bed or for a hot second. Uncooooool.
ETA: I didn't mean to sound bitchy..I just don't understand why you'd have a desire to wear your little bro's letters. I could understand maybe your boyfriend's or something (maybe).

My boyfriend is in a fraternity and I have no desire to wear his letters anywhere, and he is not interested in letting me wear them.
You don't wear letters unless you earn them. I have not yet earned the privilege to wear letters, therefore I do not wear them - on my boyfriend's clothes or anyone else's clothes.

How do people feel about someone letting their children wear their letters? An alum I met lets his daughter wear his old letters every once in a while.

I'm of the opinion that you have got to earn letters to wear them. And if you are wearing letters, even your own, you must always look your best while wearing them. It's all about being a positive representation.
