At UBC the brothel rule applied to the sororities for years. It has now been lifted but it cost $1 million just to purchase land at UBC (let alone building the actual house). In the 1950's UBC built the Panhellenic House which was torn down dec 1998. Right now we have nothing but UBC is building a brand new start of the art Panhel, which should be completed within the next couple of years. The fraternties all have houses but their leases are running out. They will be building new homes on the same site as the Panhel building, creating a Greek Village.
