Amanda, who is a senior theater and speech communications major, is active in cheerleading, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Fraternity and Blue Key Honor Fraternity. The Newberry College Theater is her second home, where she has played numerous roles including “Robin” in Godspell, a production for which she also assisted with the choreography alongside Vicki Saye Henderson, Newberry ’87. Amanda’s professional credits include appearances on the television programs Street Smarts, The King of Queens and Grounded for Life. In addition to winning her state’s crown, Amanda has held the titles of Newberry College Homecoming Queen, Indian Princess, Miss Sun Fun Myrtle Beach and Miss Lake Murray. “My sisters even nominated me to represent them in the Miss Newberry College Pageant when I was a freshman. I won, and it felt so great to represent Alpha Xi Delta. I have constantly had support and love from each of my Epsilon Iota sisters. They come to my pageants, sent notes of encouragement and welcome me with open arms after my victories.”
