Dirty Rush: Advice Needed!
Recruitment at my school takes place in the spring. After our first few recruitment parties, my chapter heard that another chapter was telling PNM's some horrible and very untrue things about our chapter and our pledge process at their recruitment parties in an effort to get girls NOT to choose us. I would say that we are the top two chapters on campus, and we oftentimes want/attract the same girls, so recruitment is very competitive between us, although I can say that my chapter NEVER talks badly about any other chapter - we say how wonderful we all are! We also heard from several other chapters that believed the same chapter that was bad-mouthing us was also bad-mouthing them during recruitment.
Immediately, we followed the proper course of action as outlined by Panhellenic council and the school, but there was no investigation conducted or judicial action taken against the chapter. After bid day, nearly all of our new members told us what this other chapter had been saying about us, so we were absolutely sure the allegations were true. Still, despite the fact that we did everything within our reach to have some sort of judicial action taken against them (notifying Panhell and the school), nothing was done. This happened last spring, and the issue was dragged out but never resolved.
Since Panhellenic and the school never resolved this issue, I have heard that we may contact my chapter's national panhellenic representative, who will then contact that chapter's national panhellenic representative so that their national can give this chapter sanctions. My question is this: what further steps can we take to ensure that justice is served?
