Is there a connection between Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Zeta?

Because their colors are PINK and GREEN.

seriously. you know, some of these connections are really freaky! i mean, not many people know this, but Sigma Gamma Rho and Washington Mutual go way back - they saw how amazing we are and decided that our colors were for them.

omg sooooo weird!

Well, Phi Mu is pink and white. When I think of pink and white I think of Easter. Therefore, Easter is my favorite holiday. I vote for that.

Sigma Kappa is lavender and maroon. Maroon 5 is a band. Therefore Maroon 5 should be our new mascot.

What's funny is that AKA and DZ members actually own stock in Victoria Secret's "PINK" line because of that. And my fraternity sued the U.S. Army for the use of our colors.

We also sued MLK Jr's family for the use of his name and likeness...

I heard that the Delta Zeta chapter at Georgetown helped the AKAs get organized. In fact it wes a Delta Zeta that ran the paperwork across campus to meet the deadline for filing for incorporation. Thus the shared colors.

I heard that all the members of The Eagles are APO Brothers and named their band for our mascot.

The inventor of the traffic light was *actually* a lady who wanted to AI into Alpha Gam but didn't make it. So she made the traffic light with the colrs red, yellow (buff), and green.

There were no lions before Phi Mu. We drew it up and named it a lion, along with Alpha Delta Pi. Well, we wanted it to be named Sir Fidel but ADPi wasn't having it and said we should go with something more American. One founder said "I'm not lyin when I say that I think people will reject this creature". And so a Phi Mu goes "Hey that's it! We shall call it a lion!" God saw the picture and decided to create this creature, but make him fierce. Just like us Macon Magnolias.

Roar. Bitches. Roar.
