With that being said, right now would probably not be the best time. In her story, the shooter survives and she goes into detail of the torment the person put up with. As a person it horrified me and as a teacher I was beyond appalled. And it was a book!
But I highly recommend it. Awesome book.[/end mini-hijack]

Agree with everything you said there about the book,,,,

Very true, but there is a big difference between watching people on a screen shoot up people and actually "shooting them" in a game.
I am not saying that it might be a cause, I'm just syaing it doesn't help if someone is already off.

That's super good to know that they're okay.
Coz earlier I was thinking "oh my..." when I was reading this : http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18138907/site/newsweek/ since about half-way down the page, it said that one of the girl's classmate's Pi Phi sisters was shot.

THIS IS ADDRESSED TO ALL GREEK SISTERS AND BROTHERS REGARDLESS OF THEIR AFFILIATIONS...
MEET AS AN ENTIRE CHAPTER AND THOROUGHLY GO OVER YOUR CHAPTER, COLLEGE AND COMMUNITY PLAN FOR EMERGENCIES. HAVE PLANS AND RESOURCES IN PLACE FOR ANYTHING THAT MAY HAPPEN - WHETHER IT BE SOMETHING AS TRAGIC AS THIS OR SIMPLE EMERGENCIES LOCATED AT YOUR COLLEGES...
CREATE PHONE TREES, E-MAIL/TEXT MESSAGING LISTS ETC. KNOW WHO YOUR CONTACT PEOPLE ARE FOR YOUR FAMILIES AT HOME OR AWAY. DISCUSS FULLY WHAT EVERYONE CAN DO TO STAY IN TOUCH AND PLAN FOR SUCH AND EVENT. HAVE A LIST OF RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO ALL WITHIN YOUR CHAPTER AND CAMPUS SO THAT ALL KNOW WHAT TO DO AND WHERE TO TURN. NOTIFY YOUR FAMILIES OF THESE CONTACTS AS WELL.
AND ABOVE ALL, PRAY OR SEND HEARTFELT THOUGHTS TO THOSE PARENTS WHO HAVE LOST A CHILD TONIGHT...

That's good. I was wondering if they had a chapter there.

My thoughts and prayers for eveyone at Virginia Tech -- their families and friends. May the peace of a loving God surround them and comfort them at this time.

Anyone have any word yet on any brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha chapter there?
Nothing is posted on our website or our online magazine.
www.lambdachi.org
My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by this tragedy.
If I find out anything, I will post it here.

Through the rumor mill, I've been told that a Kappa lost her life.

According to a message I received from Kappa Delta's National Office, the President of the VT KD chapter reports that all sisters are safe and accounted for. They are doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.

Thanks for updating us on the Kappa Deltas. With no message on our website I was beginning to really worry.
This whole thing is so upsetting. All those promising young lives taken for no reason. My thoughts are with their families and friends.
