Ranked teams that lost today

Iowa
Michigan
Louisville
Purdue

Oregon gave USC a scare in the first half but USC is killing them in the second half.

The Iowa State-Army game was down right ugly Friday night, but they managed to pull out a victory in the end. Thank you fourth quarter. 3-0 heading into the next game against the Nebraska Huskers.

The mighty Ohio University Bobcats miss the top 25 again after our three point victory over the always dangerous Kent State Golden Flashes.

No respect.

That makes us 2-1, one of our very best starts -- perhaps overall records -- in recent years.

My Cyclones blew so many opportunities to win this game and win in Lincoln for the first time in ages. I was shocked that Nebraska had never played an overtime game in Memorial Stadium before today. Then I remembered all the Nebraska teams of the past how many seasons... I was so hoping that ISU would pull the upset and win today.

Well, I shouldn't have said they are overrated. I do believe however that this is a down year for them. Why? Too many good teams (as usual), but no great teams. Everyone will simply just beat up on each other (the way how every other conference beats up on each other). I guess the one team that I do believe that is overrated is Tennessee. I think Florida is the best team in the conference but they are punished since they are the only team in the conference with balls in facing a pretty tough non conference schedule (miami and fsu). All other SEC teams usually schedule pancakes (at home) and it is very rare to see them return the favor in a home and home game.

While my alliance is with the Pac 10.

My next question for all of you. Who do you think the best conference is?

I think top to bottom it is the Big 10. However, the ACC's top four I would put up against anyone.
Of course IMO the SEC is the best conference!!! Every year someone says "the SEC is down this year." I hate when people say that, I mean spare me, check out the polls. More SEC teams are "year after year" ranked high in the polls. And, we don't have to play "ranked" teams outside of the conference when we are playing ranked teams within the conference.

That is all - please don't test me I don't know all of the statistics for the past 75 years or anything. I just hate when people say that. I am a bama fan, but AU got robbed last year with out a chance to play for the championship, because "the SEC was down last year.". (I don't know if they would have won or not but they played and beat more ranked teams then USC)

Edited to add this weeks stats
Pac 10 rankings
12 CA
1 USC
14 ASU
20 UCLA

SEC
5 FL
7 GA
10 Tenn
15 Bama
4 LSU
(AU ranked 24 in coaches poll)

I am scared to hit that submit button cause I know I can't back up my opinion with memorized statistics so I am hoping some more SEC fans will bail me out of this post.

edited to add poll results as of 9/30/5

Hi Connie

My name is Bobby. Nice to meet you

Do you go into a bars, pick a fight and hide hoping your friends will back you up?

Alabama? Good stuff. Are they finally off probation? Or are they still cheating? Anyways...I like Alabama too One of my favorite teachers went there and she wrote me a very nice letter of rec for my applications to various law schools. Oh, and Shaun Alexander is on my fantasy team! Oh, and Robert Horry my all time favorite bball player went there! He rules man. But perhaps the biggest reason why I'm a Alabama fan is because I learned how to choke someone by watching Latrell Spreewell. That guys the man.

Anyways. Are you sure you want to get into this?

Yay! Carolina scored a TD!!

Ok, being serious. The moment I saw Carolina was playing Auburn, I (and many fans) knew that we were going to get our a** kicked tonight. And we did. That's why I didn't watch the game on TV I guess we're bring another Hall of Fame coach to his knees.

And thanks Wake for causing Clemson to loose another close game!
