Has anyone heard about this beef between Blu and Beyonce?
PORN star turned pop star Blu Cantrell has launched a bitter attack on chart rival Beyonc Knowles, claiming the Destiny's Child star is copying her successful style.
Until Sunday, Blu was No.1 with her song Breathe, which spent four weeks at the top of the charts before being knocked off the top spot by the Norman Cook remix of Elton John's Are You Ready For Love.
Now the new R&B star on the block says Beyonc has listened to her smash single in order to come up with a hit of her own.
Speaking exclusively to Scotland's No.1 showbiz column, Blu -real name Tiffany Cobb -moaned: ``Beyonce is talented and beautiful and I'm a fan, but she has a song out which is very similar to mine.
``She uses words which are in the hook of my song and if she is that talented, she shouldn't have to copy someone else.
``Her song Baby Boy has the exact word Breathe in the hook. She's ripping me off, but there is no animosity because I'm a very positive person. However, I'm a little disappointedbecauseshe is established and didn't have to do that. Butshewon't get away with plagiarising me, because I'm a No.1 artist.''
Blu is also furious after hearing that Beyonc has collaborated with her exboyfriend Sean Paul, who also features on Breathe.
The 28-year old NewYorker believes Beyonc is getting her own back on Blu, who was previously linked with Beyonc's ex Jay Z.
Blu says: ``Now she is doing a song with Sean Paul because I'm linked with Sean Paul, so I don't know what her intentions are.
``I'm not tit-for-tat like that. I don't waste my time sitting around trying to think about what Beyonc's thinking.''
Blu seems to think Beyonce is overrated and claims the real R&B star is Sean `Puffy' Combs, who guided Blu and helped her get session work for the likes of Faith Evans.
Blu explains: ``The really talented people in music are the likes of Puffy, who I admire. He has always been there for me and he's the one guy who'd do something like take a helicopter to the Hamptons to surprise me during my album release party. That was fun. He's a great guy that I look up to.

(Sep. 2, 2003) Beyonce Beware: Pop powerhouse Beyonce Knowles better watch out because R&B sexpot Blu Cantrell has her eye on Jay-Z. On the DVD to accompany her sophomore album, “Bittersweet,” Blu discusses her admiration for the Roc-A-Fella rapper.
“Just for the record I have a major crush on Jay-Z. I have a really big crush on him, I’ll tell you that much,” admitted the bi-racial Blu. “He’s such honey. He’s just a doll baby. I don’t care who he is dating -- I’ve always had a crush on him.”
When asked about the rumors that she and Jay-Z already had a sexual relationship, the Blu offered, “No, I didn’t. All I know is that we’ve hung out a couple of times and that we’re friends and that’s it. People saw us in public and just assumed.” Blu does recognize that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s romance seems solid.
“I think they’re in love, I really do think they’re in love,” she acknowledged. But when asked what she would do if the Brooklyn-bred rapper propositioned her, Blu confessed, “I wouldn’t turn it down, let’s just put it that way!”

Philadelphia Daily News (Tattle)- September 2, 2003 -Us Weekly reports that Beyonce the darling R&B sensation better keep tight to her man Jayz.Word has it that not only has R&B singer Blu Cantrell openly dissed Beyonce in another magazine publication but she also has openly stated that there is a song on her current album about her crush on hip-hip mogul Jayz.She doesn't exactly speak about which song it is but says " you have to buy the album to know".Us Weekly magazine thinks it's a ploy to promote her new album but we have heard about Blu pushing up on Jay before.
At any rate, the two songs are about wanting someone (Baby Boy) and needing space in a relationship (Breathe). I don't know
