...am really bushed from lots of driving -- I just missed meeting up with Carnation by several minutes...rats! If Gamma Phi is selected, I know I will be back -- the drive was not bad and the campus is GORGEOUS!!!

The presentation went very well, IMHO

-- one of the collegiate women in attendance told one of the young Gamma Phis there that she thought their sorority had already made up their mind but now she was not sure at all since our presentation!

The rest is up to the local women now -- carnation - over to you: please keep us posted.

One bright note -- met another Gamma Phi who lives in the area -- next door to the College President as a matter of fact!

and she is interested in helping start an alum group -- yay!

Now on to my wine cellar for a little de-tuning!

Double rats! GPhiBLtCol, I went back to the presentation again and the Gamma Phi VP said that you had just left five minutes before!!!:sad: I wanted to meet you so badly and I hope we get together in Atlanta next month!

Okay, Fuzi, what's the scoop? I went over to campus to teach tonight and ran all over trying to find anybody who could fill me in but Booo! The place was practically deserted!

I didn't get to go to the meeting but what's been said is true! Our sorority thought we knew exactly who we wanted to affiliate with, and Gamma Phi Beta made quite an impression today. I've only heard about it from two girls, but supposidly they're having to rethink their vote. We vote tomorrow night - wish us luck with that... it's gonna be a tough one!!

i hope it is the right fit for you. Good luck to you and your fellow chapter members during the vote! Whether or not i will ever call you my sister doesn't matter as much as finding a place where you belong. Good Luck Fuzi!

Hip Hip Horray!!

I just got back from the meeting and I have great news!

All votes went to Phi Mu except for 5! (And three of those votes were to not go national at all.)

So - we start the next level of this process. We'll talk to our student activities director tomorrow and see what's next on the list

The other local sorority on campus did vote tonight, but I don't know the results just yet. I'll get back to you!

I hope the others vote tonight, we have--what? A week more of class!

Because I am not well-versed with NPC rules..

are votings & things like that supposed to remain non-public until the final results are in? (i.e. mutual selections)

I don't know the rules either. I hope Phi Mu picks us, but if they don't, I don't know what it would hurt that I told we chose them. What do you guys think? Does anyone know? Cause I could still take that post off.

Also, I don't think our other local will choose Phi Mu. If they decide to go national they had another sorority in their scopes. I'll let you know something when I find out!

Uh oh, I think I know where this will lead. I don't believe that they'll be able to compete--on our campus--with the glamour and prestige of a national. When the nationals come to colonize, there they'll sit in the shadows. Over the years, tons of local girls have shunned the school because they wanted to pledge a national and if local girls decide to go there now, it won't be because they want to pledge "AB".

I also think that a bunch of their members will choose to leave and go national...either way, AB might not be around much longer.

And I'd better not see any of their new members wearing stupid leprechaun outfits in my classes next fall!
