My take on the situation:

Kelly has an absolutely AMAZING voice. I agree with another poster above that I'd almost rather see her not win and get a better contract than American Idol. She's also really cute.

Tamyra is really the judges' fave and it's pretty obvious. She does have an amazing voice, too, but it almost seems safe, like nothing she'd ever do was a risk. I want to see her take a risk.

Nikki...well, she'd be good in a girl-rock band, but they're looking for a more "pop" oriented type ildo. She did crack that note pretty badly Tues. night. She wasn't really made for big band. I really expected her to go last night.

Christina...I liked her, I think she was pretty and sweet, but that crazy vibrato has got to go. I just don't think she appealed to as many people as the others, but don't fret people! I'm sure she'll get a contract somewhere else just like the rest of them most likely will!

RJ seems to be incredibly nice, and yeah, he would appeal to those little teeny-boppers, or a completely different audience...I read in Entertainment Weekly that someone said he should do Christian pop. I could see that.

And finally, Sideshow Bob...er, Justin. I think he likes to bounce his head around because it makes his hair feel good. I wonder what it feels like? I'll have to get a fro like that and try it out. As for his singing, he's only really impressed me one time. He seems pompous, and he makes the weirdest faces when they talk to him on Wed. nights when they make it seem like he's going to be kicked off. I'd rather see the girls win.

As for Ryan...do you really think she could have made it another week with the Big Band competition? She would have been completely out of her league. I didn't really like her (waits for boos and hisses to be thrown) but I'm sure she'll be somewhere else.

Sorry for the length of this. I'm just very opinionated.

Well, if you ask cynical me...I think there's something fishy going on. There is no way Christina got fewer votes than RJ, or nikki for that matter. I think it's an odd coincidence she was 'hospitalizied' for an undiscolsed reason, and then she was suprisingly booted off. My guess...something happened that disqualified her. Maybe they caught her in lie or she did something bad. And rather than taint their show, they figured they'd get rid of her, claim illness and then boot her off. I dunno....I'm thinking a guy who sings like he's petrified and forgets the words to the song he's singing would be voted off by someone who did great. There's something up there....and my guess is the story will be broken sooner rather than later. No one buys the story that she really lost. At least, I know I don't.
RJ. what a joke.

I sill love Kelly. If she doesn't win....well, I guess I wouldnt' be supirsed the way things are going. But she should. Cause really, Justin sucks.

Okay, so I'm sorry, but I think Nikki should have been shown the door way before now. I don't think she's any more talented than I am, and you don't see ME on the show! I just don't get her appeal.

As for RJ, yes he should have been booted by now too, but alas, the teenage girls are keeping him alive. Or perhaps that conspiracy theory isn't so off, and Christina really didn't have fewer votes than him.

And I think that's so funny that other people have been referring to Justin as Sideshow Bob too! I thought that about him the first time I saw him! I really don't like him though, and I hope he goes soon.

Kelly is the best! I think she has the most talent of all of them, and the only reason I don't vote is because I can never get through!

We shall see what happens tonight!

I've heard that Christina is either signed or about to be signed with someone (probably Simon and/or the folks behind AI.) She'll be on the show tonight, doing her goodbye thing and if I heard right--singing "That's what friends are for" in a group singalong on Wednesday night.

1) It doesn't matter because My Ryan Starr is gone.

2) RJ was on the show like "She was one of my dearest and closest friends......" GIVE ME A BREAK! YOU MET HER 3 WEEKS AGO! I hope he gets booted this week even though I'm done watching. I'm pretty sure his boyfriend misses him.

Was it just me, or was everyone having their "not best" performances tonight? I was very unimpressed by the show tonight... but Kelly is still my favorite!

Who do you think will be voted off this week? I'm thinking RJ or Nikki... and IMHO, it's about time for either one of them to go! I'd love to see Justin go too, but something tells me he'll make the final four.

FYI:

I didn't see this posted, but Samuel L. Jackson revealed on Jay Leno that Justin is his cousin-in-law. That is, his wife's second cousin. I wonder if that will have any effect on his chances to win?

Okay, I'm beginning to think this competition may be a little fixed. I thought Tamyra's performance was not that great tonight, but the judges were kissing her butt. And Justin - who I don't like, so I'm not trying to be bias - had a very good performance and the judges told him it was "okay." Even though people are calling in and voting, I still think the judges opinion may sway people.

I thought RJ picked a good song tonight and that Nikki will be the next to go.

After the performance that Nikki gave tonight, she will definitely be the next one to go. She sounded absolutely terrible. I'm still hoping that Kelly is going to win this competition because she has an amazing voice and has anyone noticed how extremely humble she is? My guess is that the next to go after Nikki would be RJ and then Justin, leaving Kelly and Tamyra as the last two.

Tamyra tore it UP tonight!!! They were many eyes undry after tonight's performance. Although I've voted for Nikki everytime so far b/c I liked that she was different, pretty exciting, I just can't do it tonight. She was terrible! And RJ's little dance move??? It's very old. You can only hump the air while you sing for so many shows. Justin just tries to be too much of an actor while he sings. But hey, they're further in their singing careers than I'll ever be, so I gotta give them all props

OMG I cried right a long with Paula, but I didn't think it was Tamarya's best performance. I am having such a hard time trying to choose between her and Kelly. These two are humble, beautiful, and would make great Greeks.
Nikki sounded like something was caught in her throat and it did not sound like a love song!!!!
I have never liked RJ--cute in a way, but not an idol unless in a boy band.
Justin--you are fake!!! You are a popmous ass-- you are DISMISSED(I wish this would happen).
Ryan looked so pissed when she heard the comments Tamarya got. I think Ryan has a bad attitude and I am glad she is gone, but I can definately see her making it in the modeling world.

Ok. When I heard "love songs," I was SURE I would be hearing the best love songs of all time. For the most part, I have loved the selections prior to tonight. But then I hear, YECCHH!!!

BLECCH!! Come on people, there are SO many songs that would have been perfect for tonight that just were not chosen. (Makes me wonder if they have like 10 songs to choose from.)

AND CAN I JUST SAY, WHAT?!?! was Nikki singing? I have already blocked it from my mind, cause I can't think of the title, but I was like, Love Song, hello? Shoot, she could have sang her GOD AWFUL rendition of Piece of my Heart again.

I only liked Tamyra's song tonight, and thought she was going to suck at first, but I thought she was great by the end. But I was cracking up at the people (Paula) that were weeping after it (unless that was her first dance song at her wedding, or other sentimental reason). Nothing against anyone at home or on GC that cried.

I LOVE Kelly to death, wish she would win (between her and Tamyra) but the second she started singing, I said to my roommate, "bad song selection" which Paula and judges said too.

NIKKI, R.J. (hey

did you know the first judge Loves those initials--that's his critique every week for RJ), and JUSTIN can just GO HOME!

Does anyone think that Justin looks like Michael Jackson after 15 of his surgeries (nose, lighter black skin)? If he wins, and gets a little funky like M.J. did, he won't have any nose!

I don't think I mentioned it, but I mourned the loss of Christina last week. I LOVED her the most. I liked everything about her.

Finally, does anyone read the show recaps on the idolonfox site? They are HILARIOUS!! I crack up every week when I read them.
