My unique facts

Hi!

Here are some unique facts about me:

- When I was around 7 years old, my mom made my sister and I audition for the movie, "Attack of the Killer Tomatos II"

- I once got to ride in a United Nations tank.

- I am a member of the National Archery Association.

- I originally met my boyfriend on the internet. My dad thinks he's great; his parents love me.

- I've met most of the actors from all four Star Trek shows.

- I currently work for Cirque du Soleil.

- When I was 11, I fell asleep on the floor of my bathroom. After my panicked family banged on the door with no response, my dad kicked through the door. I woke up wondering "How come I can see through the door?"

- I've owned a computer since I was 6 years old (woo! Go Commodore 64!!).

- A couple months before Bill Clinton was first elected to office, my sister and I sat behind Hillary and Chelsea on a Delta Air Lines flight. The Secret Service Agent, who was sitting across the aisle, appeared to be hitting on my sister.

- I've only been on 8 "real" dates in my entire life (I'm 24 years old).

I own both freshwater *and* saltwater fishing tackle.

Re: My unique facts

Navane,

I shot freestyle and bowhunter 3D and indoor Vegas and 5 dot rounds for along time till I got really burned out. Shot a few ASA and NBO competions, as well as my state bowhunter and field archery tourneys. I realize this isnt anything like recurve freestyle v round, but you dont see alot of people mention archery anymore.

I forgot my best one! In 5th grade I rode an elephant! They brought it to Boogarts Grocery Store. I cried when I saw all the purlpe aticeptic on the poor animal. (from sticking it with the pole)

I also sat on the lap of the actor who played Cocheese and had a picture taken. It was at Sears when I was about 6 or so.

Gee, doesn't the midwest offer a lot of opportunities!

I have a name I've used (still do) whenever I would sign up for things, make calls, or didn't want to give out my real name. It belongs to a girl I went to Jr High with. Didn't like the girl all that much, but LOVED her name!

I forgot to ad....

My uncle used to be on "All My Children", he played Mark Dalton, Erica Kane's half brother.

I have a fear of Animals in people clothes. Esp. Dogs! I love dogs, but dogs in clothes totally freak me out!

I talk to myself all the time, and I talk to the TV too.

My friends are always impressed at my uncanny ability to make up names for people on the spot. Since I can't remember names I make up things like "The man", "Bio Camp Tramp", "tube tops". It makes life more interesting.

My life has a weird resemblance to Rachel Green's from "Friends". However, my best guy friend did not knock me up. But everything else seems to follow suit.

That is the ONLY soap I was really hooked on-EVERYONE would gather in the dorm snack bar and watch it---EVERY AFTERNOON!

I go all the way back to Phillip and Tara---That says too much!

Your uncle was an excellent actor!

Geez...

When I was in college, the only thing anybody ever got together to watch was the original (very camp) "Batman" series.

Oh, except of course for the original Sesame Street. It was really cool, and, after all, we were just a bunch of kids.

Forgot two more...

My dad was really old when I was born. I am in my mid 20's, yet my dad fought in WWII. He joined the navy in March 1945, at 17 years old.

His dad waited for a long time to have kids as well, so he was old when my dad was born. My grandfather was born in 1875.

It freaks me out sometimes thinking that my grandfather was born 10 years after the civil war ended. lol.

Heh....if I'm doing my math right, then my father was 8 years older than your dad. Dad was 59 when I was born and also served in WWII!!! If he were still alive today, he would've been 82 this November!

Cool! Though, you'd probably be disappointed to know that I'm a target recurve archer. No shooting at styrofoam deer for me. I'm one of the people who walk into a pro shop and ask if I can get a quiver "not in camo please." Then again, most guys are nice to me 'cause it's still somewhat rare to meet a girl who owns a bow.

You've shot at Las Vegas? I know a couple guys who go to Vegas for shootouts - both from Southern California. Carl Pettit was an assistant coach for my university archery team - he helped train the compound shooters. Though, if anyone, I'd bet that you might have heard of Scott McKetchnie. From what I understand, he's often the big money winner.

Hey, I don't know if you saw it, but I posted a link to my website on another thread ("What do YOU look like?")
I have a picture of me on the line.

Ok..ok..I now apologize to the rest of the GCers who had to put up with my discussion on archery. As BillyMac mentioned, it's not often someone mentions it.
