IMHO, if you can't express yourself without massive amounts of profanity, you're poorly educated and stupid.
A few well-chosen swear words, used at the appropriate times, are way more effective than a carpet bombing.

Has EO responded? I haven't seen a statement.

It's on their FB page and has been since yesterday.

When sorority life reaches the point where a letter like this is considered appropriate for any chapter's culture, I will no longer identify myself as a sorority woman or encourage any woman to join a sorority.
As far as the woman who leaked it, maybe she was tired of being verbally abused. That's what this is. There is no other way to spin it. And if this writer is an example of the chapter leadership and how they handle things, I can see why the letter was leaked.

I agree. Stuff like this is why some people dislike Greeks.

Yea, I'm amazed at the acceptance level for this....the "awe ain't that hilarious"? attitude. I'm not a pearl clutcher but this isn't how you talk to sisters, enemies or anyone. Taken with the abysmal party theme at IU, it's a bad PR week for sororities and the girls have no one to blame but themselves. I know that at least one national is taking their situation very seriously.

I guess I could see saying something like that in your first moments of shock and horror after your family member totaled your new car or ran over your dog. Otherwise, hell no, and I'm sorry for you if that is acceptable in your family.

Fraternity brothers are my family AND my best friends. There are some things I wouldn't say to my biological brother, but would not hesitate to say to my fraternity brothers, because they are in fact my best friends. And that's what I was trying to get at. And that's what I meant by the fact that they should not have to censor around family. And with all due respect, I don't think you should feel 'sorry' for me even if that is acceptable in my [fraternity] family.
