I didn't mean to do either. I'm commenting on intent, not effect. I don't think someone at Phi Mu was like "let's put it in black to be extra offensive!" Never attribute to malice, and all that...

Well, the potential outcome is the same regardless of intent. Some people may think Sir Fidel looks "blacker" to match the "homeboy". That is how you presented it even after a couple of us did not see the offense.
It does seem like your tone has changed. Has it changed because they have agreed to take this off of their official collection? If so, that is why I initially asked if it was a good idea for you to share this with GC when you have already notified the NHQ.

No, I think it was offensive. I am glad they took it down. I think that it was a result of ignorance, not malice, but I think such ignorance is still inexcusable. I also think that maybe, just maybe, the women running my organization would have learned something from a certain Cosby-related PR nightmare just a few months ago. My goal is not to shame my organization by talking about it here, but I also don't feel the need to shield it, either.
ETA: Then again, the person at HQ responsible for approving para also approved a Lily Print with a misspelled motto, and as far as I can tell from the FB page, that is, like, a billion times worse!

I think the Vineyard Vines KD print looks like wallpaper at a grandmother's house. The belt is really special, but it wouldn't show.

Why is it in pink considering that pink isn't a color associated with Kappa Delta? I also think that a nautilus shell would have been far superior to the teddy bear on the Kappa Delta items, is he wearing a red bow tie? Furthermore, Alpha Phi is also in pink (not one of their colors either) and has a teddy bear as well, whereas a nice ivy leaf would look much better than Winnie the Pooh's inbred cousin, Whino the Boo. I get that Vineyard Vines uses pastels, but gray is at least closer to silver.
Theta has a nice looking print but it is purple, wtf? Pi Phi doesn't have a carnation, let alone a wine colored one, it kind of looks like a cotton boll to me. You can see them all here, and they are Greek Licensed Products. http://www.vineyardvines.com/categor...2550_____13055

To be fair, the VV stuff makes the Lilly prints look like the pinnacle of sophistication. The colors are all wrong, they made terrible choices on symbols, and the symbols they executed are all fug (IMO ZTA is the worst, by far. Looks like a child's print).
My chapter once had VV make us a print for some tote bags. They were light blue and subtle and had arrows on them. Couldn't they have used that print?

I agree with you - I'm not 100% sold on Alpha Phi's Lilly print but it's a thousand times better than what VV is offering. Still SMH at the purple Theta design...

Unless you're at Tau chapter NU? But you're right, it's a DPhiE color-look, not Theta.

We should quit expecting other businesses to help us express ourselves. That Spoonflower web site allows us to do our own thing, we should vote with our money instead of settling. As the SPQ's say, "Be particular!"

I wanted to get the VV Kappa print stuff for my 4 year old. It's like "My First Sorority" paraphernalia.
