Idiosyncracies
I absolutely can not stand it when different foods touch each other. When I'm at home I eat everything in a separate dish.
I mix my water: half cold/ from the fridge and half hot/ from the faucet.
I hate wearing shoes that enclose my entire foot. I wear flip flops year round, even in the rain.
Wet countertops and floors REALLY bother me. I just can't stand it.
I have to have the air conditioner on, no matter how cold it is outside.
I spell curse words instead of just saying them.
It has to be completely dark and quiet when I go to sleep.
I hate it when people put holes in the walls to hang up pictures, etc.
Driving with shoes on is a no no.
If I'm having a bad hair day or it's raining really hard, I WILL NOT go to work or school.

I put my business clothes on the left side of the closet, church clothes in the middle, jackets next, then my robe on the end.
I have to have the fan on at night, even if it's cold--I can't sleep without that humming sound.
I have to study with music, unless I'm studying another language. Then I need silence or instrumentals.
I won't dance around those who are good dancers or sing for another singer, etc.--you'll only get to see me do those things if you suck at them, too.
When I'm upset or scared, I HAVE to cuddle with somebody. This definitely annoys my mother.

omg @ obituaries
My Mom does this same thing...when she gets the paper, she will immediatly go to that section and read EVERY single one before she reads the rest of the paper. *amazed*
The weirdest things make my flesh crawl. For ex, ant beds. *cringing* I can not look at an ant bed for too long w/o feeling light headed. It's just something about that perfect pile of dirt that has zillions of holes throughout it. I have been this way since I was a child. When we get ant beds in the yard it it a must that they are knocked over and swept away.
Crazy huh?

1) I can't take the sound of a paper towel on chalkboard. It makes the hairs on my arms stand up and a few seconds later I have to shiver or "shake off" that annoying sound. I can hear every single decibel on every corner of that paper making contact with the board. I used to hate when throughout my school years teachers couldn't find the eraser and use a paper towel instead!
2) I no longer go to get my nails done. After watching one episode of a show that cracked down on places that never cleaned or don't clean their tools correctly, I was shocked to see what cleaning they did and did not do. The show also showed ALL types of bacteria that grows, etc. Traumatized me, I guess. I just do it myself now
3) I cannot see someone eating sloppy. For example, eating with their mouth open, talking with their mouth open, or trying to make the entire sandwich fit in their mouth, etc. I have to look away quickly because it makes me feel nauseous or makes me lose my appetite.
An example of a similar instance. I was watching a TV show where they would give money to a guy if he would swallow live goldfish. There was a fish bowl. There was a timer. He swallowed all of the goldfish and then regurgitated them one by one. Most of the fish survived, but he wasn't able to bring back up the other ones. When he was bring them back up, I ran immediately to the bathroom and vomitted, lol. My boyfriend had the time of his life laughing hysterically on the floor. He almost died from the "silent laugh" from laughing so hard!
Not to mention, that any gory injuries or operations or similar scenes on TV or movies, I immediately feel the pain. Example, if someone got an injection in the knee and I SEE that, all of a sudden, my knee hurts and I can "feel" the pain, lol. After I realized that this happens with EXTREME grossness or gory scenes on the screen, I have since refused to see things like that. If I see something about to happen like in an operating room, I have to look away. I can quickly glance, but cannot sit there and watch that.

I eat my food and dessert at the same time. I almost always have to have something sweet (it could be half a cookie) with my dinner, otherwise, it doesn't feel like a complete meal.
When I drive, I always take the same route..even if another route is easier, I don't care. This annoys other people in the car.

I can't sleep if my feet are hot, so I stick them out from under the covers at night.
I also can't sleep under tucked in sheets or blankets, they have to be loose.
If I order fast food, I have to eat the fries first, then the sandwich.
If anything gets stuck to the bottom of my shoe...I freak out. Seeing it stuck to someone else's shoe...I have to meditate.

ME TOO on both!!
I have to take pens apart, it helps me concentrate.
I like to perfectly align the fingers on my right hand and visually line them up with horizontal lines in my room (I know that makes no sense, but I can't help it. My daughter saw me one day, and was like, Mommy, what's that mean? LOL)
I clench my toes for no reason.
When eating, I have to have my meat on the lower right side of my plate, and the bread on the upper left.
I have to have the window open a little and the heat on in winter.
TMI: When I go to the potty at home, I have to be in house clothes, and i have to get fully comfortable on the pot before I commense to...
I have to have things meticulously placed when I clean up, if one thing gets out of order within 48 hours, I get pissed.

I haven't posted in a while and I've been peeking, but now I'm back. I had to post in this thread.
Here are my weird habits:
When I eat peanut M&M's, I eat the shell first then the peanut.
I can't sleep in socks.
I can't sleep in underwear.
The food on my plate has to be proportioned, all the way down to the last bite.
I like cold milk, but I will not put ice in my milk. I have to shake my milk in the carton before I pour.
I don't like drinking water early in the morning.
I have to keep my cereal in the freezer to stay crunchy.
If I'm eating a Whopper, I have to cut it in half, but if I'm eating a Big Mac I don't.
The toilet paper has to be over, not under. My husband likes it under and I can't stand it. (I've gotten married since the last time I posted...I's married yall.)
If I'm at home, I have to drink a soft drink out of a glass and not a cup.
I like to eat soft fries, not the crunchy ones.
When I'm about to go to bed, I take my house shoes off on the right side of the bed.
The house has to be completely dark and quiet or I can't sleep.
If I'm eating a green vegetable, I have to put salt on it, but I won't put salt on anything else on my plate.
The water has to run until I'm completely done brushing my teeth.
I will eat watermelon candy but I hate watermelon. I will eat cherry candy but I don't eat cherries. I won't eat orange candy but I like oranges.

- I MUST shower in nearly scalding hot water, or else I DO NOT feel clean.
- I don't care HOW cold it is, I CANNOT have the heater on when I go to bed. I HATE warm/hot air blowing in my face!! I feel like I am suffocating.
- Whenever I am sitting, I have to have my left hand squeezed between my thighs. (NO, not there!) It keeps my hand warm.
- When I get tired, I have to rub my eyes for about two to three minutes. It relieves pressure and helps to relax me.
- I can't wear gloves.
- I can't wear socks to bed.

Yeah I know this is crazy...
OK... ARE YOU READY FOR THIS ONE?
I put ketchup on 99% of my food.
Macaroni, grits, eggs, spaghetti, fettucinni (spelling) alfredo, chicken, smoked sausage, women, ham, fish, mashed potatoes, burgers, rice, noodles, pretty much everything....
