Ladies, if you are truly hooked on BE, you'll get a kick out of this.
Yesterday, two co-workers and I went out to lunch. One of the co-workers and I had talked makeup before, and I found out she wears Sheer Cover. So I had been telling her that I was gonna get her converted over to BE.
So after lunch, we go to this new spa that's 5 minutes from work because I told her that they sell BE. Well, the young lady that was helping us was applying the BE (incorrectly, but I digress) and my co-worker INSTANTLY fell in love! This girl ends up getting the starter kit and one of the eye kits and lip liner and something else to the tune of $165.00.
(btw. . . as soon as she got home, she called Sheer Cover and canceled her A/D. We calculated that she was spending approximately $30/mo. on this, and not only did she love BE, but we told her that her costs would be cut considerably because she didn't have to use a lot of BE and it was cheaper.)
So I called her this afternoon to let her know that her timing was perfect for the switchover, because on QVC, BE was on. Why did she already know this? WHY HAD SHE ORDERED MORE BE BEFORE I CALLED HER????
I think I've created a monster. . .

Has anyone tried BE's PrimeTime Eyelid Primer?
Loved the story about the woman you converted to BE, btb!

And thanks! I can't wait to talk with her again and see the difference in her face on Tuesday.

t*p, I haven't tried the primer because I just bought UDPP (urban decay primer potion) a week ago. LOVE IT, got a bunch of freebies through Sephora and it's about a buck cheaper.

Thanks for the replies... I may try UDPP first and see how that goes.
So far, I'm only using BE for my foundation/ cheek color.
I'm thinking about expanding my "collection" (haha)
If anyone has any feedback on any of these, please let me know:
*Multi-Tasking Minerals -- It seems to be marketed as a concealer... but I thought you could use the foundation as a concealer? Are these ones just better at concealing?
* Featherlight Mineral Veil - I'm kinda bummed I just bought 2 of the regular Mineral Veil at ULTA a few weeks ago because this looks like it could be fun. Has anyone noticed a big difference between the Featherlight and regular?
* Eye shadows -- what is the best way to get started? Would one of the kits be the easiest? Are most of the kits full size shadows?
And just as an FYI - it looks like BE will be back on QVC on Dec. 6th!

Yes, and yes. I own Bisque, Summer Bisque and Well Rested. I love Well Rested, as I have dark eyelids and deal with circles from time to time and it does a great job. I've also used WR to conceal redness on my face and it's great. On days I don't have a lot of time or my skin looks really good, I conceal if needed with my foundation.

The Feather Light has a bit of a sheen, not quite a sparkle like a Gossamer, but just a sheer glow. I prefer Clear Radiance to get that effect over the FL myself. I did mix an eyeshadow sized FLMV into my bucket of Tinted MV to use it up and like that effect.

Kits, kits, kits! I just ordered the Guilty Pleasures (9 total, but they are smaller than the normal shadow pots) and the Liner Quad IV (this is in the iQuad format, a little messy but a great way to try out colors. I highly recommend the following (I have highlighted cocoa/caramel hair, light/medium skin tone and dark brown eyes, if that helps any). I think all of the items in these kits are full sized.
Blendable Eye Camouflage
Pure Moxie kit (Great value!)
Get Started Eyes

I have all of those kits except Guilty Pleasures. I did however purchase the Teamed Up Earth Tones eyeshadow kit when i was at Sephora last weekend and I love it! I go back and forth between that set and my shimmer cubes from the body shop every other day

I love the Get Started Eye Kit. The colors are neutral, but they make my eyes really pop. I love them.
I got the Heavenly Face Brush the other day in a kit. It's SO much nicer than the All-Over Face Brush. I think I might need to order another one in case I lose the first one!

I got the Luminous Skin Collection and the Soft Focus Face Brush. Love love love it!
I am also loving the Well-Rested.
One thing I'm not diggin' is the BE regular compact. A day or so in my purse and the minerals all come on the top of the sifter and when I open the clear cover, a cloud of mineral dust gets in the air and it looks like a small explosion just came out of my compact. I'm don't even overfill the darn thing so I'm not sure why it does that. I'm thinking of ditching the compact ...

t*p, I love the Soft Focus face brush. I use it for almost everything. It's great on those days when you only have time for a quick buff of foundation and a radiance or all over face color. Soft enough to sweep over eyelids and gives a great wash of color on the face.

I had a similar experience when I went to open it after it had been jostled in my purse all day. I inhaled a cloud of mineral dust, sneezed and managed to send the compact flying. It died a quiet death

it's good to know i'm not alone in this one... 'cause it drives me nuts
AOIIAlum & ThetaPrincess --- YAY for the soft focus brush.
Someone needs to keep me AWAY from the BE boutique here... 'cause they make me buy stuff I didn't intend on buying but I still end up loving it

They are good at doing that to me too! If you are going there "often" make sure you get their little coupon from the store and have them stamp it each time you are there. After so many purchases you get like a 20% discount or something free I think (my purse is in the other room so i cant look to be sure sorry).

I have been wearing BM for a little over a month and I am hooked. I originally thought I would use it for a week or so then use my old liquid foundation to compare, but I can't bear the thought of wearing it again! I have very dry skin, so I have to be sure I am exfoliated and moisturized beforehand or it will look cake-y. But I work in retail and don't really have time to reapply or worry about how I'm looking, so I love that it stays put all day, and my skin is definitely healthier-looking. I'm thinking of buying the Beyond The Basics Kit and adding to my collection. It's a little pricey but lasts forever!!
