Butt-whupping? ...so you'd actually date a dude you could put in a headlock, abaici?
but, I can almost half-way feel you on this. I dated a sista who was a deputy sheriff -- fine and carries a guvment'-issued 9mm. But in the back of my mind I was like, "da*m, if something jumps off, she could probably beat down her half of the room better than I could mine."

No...but one should never underestimate adrenaline. Also, I come from a line of women who are known to throw things, put a "root" on you, or just change locks (if need be).

Tamale Chef Kills Friend, Cooks Him
Thu Apr 22, 9:55 AM ET Add Oddly Enough - Reuters to My Yahoo!
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A Mexican cook killed his drinking buddy, cut up his body and boiled him in herbs, according to police who fear he may have been turning him into tamales.
Prosecutors said on Wednesday they had arrested Carlos Machuca, a tamale-maker, at his home in the western city of Morelia on Tuesday, after receiving an anonymous phone tip.
Officers found a man's mutilated corpse in the living room and body parts simmering in aluminum saucepans on the patio, state prosecutors told Reuters.

Marijuana Plants Found Growing At Day Care Center
POSTED: 6:14 am EDT May 3, 2004
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Authorities in the Fort Myers area are looking for the operator of a local day-care center, now that some marijuana plants were found growing out back.
Lee County deputies say they initially went to Cynthia Boesenberg's house to find someone who was wanted on felony warrants. But they discovered several marijuana plants growing in her back yard.

Coaches in Hot Water Over 'Crybaby' Award
The coaches of a middle school basketball team who humiliated one of their players by giving him a "crybaby award" will likely face disciplinary action from district officials.

I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post it, but this was the closest thread I could find that was appropriate

I'm sorry but that was too funny. A "crybaby award!" Not that the trophy had a baby on top of it. That is funny. Yeah, it was poor judgment on the coach's part and I am sure the child and his parents were humiliated. Anyone who has ever worked with kids can relate to how the coach felt, we just have enough common sense not to follow through on some of our "revenge" fantasies.

Computer Glitch Gives Out Free Gasoline
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...fe_st/free_gas
PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - You can pump, but you can't hide. Some motorists in Michigan have found out the hard way that you can't just gas and go.
They discovered that because of a computer glitch they could swipe their drivers' licenses instead of credit cards to gas up for free at the pumps outside the Meijer chain.

I heard about this on the news this morning. Hubby and were at the people who are going to get caught because of this. Didn't they know that since it's a computer that it would hold all of their info, thus helping the police catch them??

Laboratory creates babypeople
http://www.cnn.com/2004/HEALTH/05/05....ap/index.html
Chicago laboratory creates five healthy babypeople to serve as donors for their brothers and sisters, who are ill. I have really mixed feelings about this.

Those people were too stupid to actually use their real driver's licenses. I could see using a library card or something that isn't as advanced. But your license...they should've known the law would catch up with that. You know folks were probably driving down from Detroit to go to that gas station too..."hey man, I got the hook up on gas..."
