HC Nikki1920 you need to get a copy of your 3in1 credit report.
HC this shows the full info for all three of the major credit bureaus in one report.
HC you can order it online.
HC next you need to go through it with a FINE TOOTH COMB.
HC then you need to dispute the heck out of every item on your report, including the things that you have no business disputing.
HC track the dates that you mail the letters to the credit bureaus.
HC after 30 days if they have not responded to you either verifying or removing the negative item, they are obligated by LAW to remove the item completely from your credit report.
HC whenever you call the credit bureaus, be sure to track the date, time and name of the person you spoke to.
HC after all of that is done you the credit bureaus are then required to send you a new copy of your credit report.
HC look that over.
HC then you need to figure out how you may want to deal with any remaining negative items.
HC check you yellow pages for a Credit Counseling Center in your area.
HC they are a non-profit association and charge no fees for their services.
HC they can work out a repayment schedule with your creditors.
HC once payments are being made, your credit report should then reflect that regular payments are being made.
HC that whole process is a LONG one...perhaps a couple of months...before your credit report and score should be improved.
HC then check your score again.
HC a score of around 650 and above is considered strong for being approved for loans.
HC I hope this helps!
