Thumbs down Waiting til Wednesday!

Man! This is the only downside to having rush after school has started! I gotta give you credit--even though I know that they spread it out b/c of classes being in session, I don't think I would be able to concentrate on anything BUT rush! Good luck to you--I am keeping my fingers crossed that you get all your first choices!

its only monday afternoon and i am already having a breakdown! do you ever have those days where everything goes wrong? i only got 3 1/2 hours of sleep and had to wake up at 5:00 am for skating practice, my car almost got towed because my parking permit was not on the rear view mirror... apparently it being on the dashboard is grounds for towing and i had to pay them $90 cash to drop my car (a little bit sketchy....), and i tried to make myself grilled cheese with my last 2 slices of bread and totally burned it!! Bad things come in 3's so hopefully i'm done for the day.... YIKES!

Thanks for all the best wishes, my day did a resounding turn-around and everything else went smoothly.

The worst thing about it being so long is that it interfers with school more. I'd rather it take up one week and get behind and be able to catch up the next week. Instead its a progression of falling a little bit more and a little bit more behind until you have tons of stuff to do. (when rush is on school days its at night, starting at 6 or 7 and ending at 10 or 11, but like this week it is thursday, friday, and sunday nights and that cuts into homework and reading time)

Still have all of tuesday to wait and until 6:30 wednesday to get the schedule, parties start on thursday!

Cool :-)

I know that everyone is wishing you luck-- but I want to send you some from me too! I can't wait until you let us know which houses you are going back to. It is horrible that they make you wait until Wednesday! I'm sure they already know, so why torture you guys? How terrible!

When you gave us your top ten, were they in random order or actually in your top ten order?

They do decorations for the first set of parties at Michigan, don't they? What were your favorite decorations? Hmmmm, maybe I'm wrong-- I might have heard that U of M does no frills so no decorating... I can't remember, I get all these schools mixed up in my head.

Anyways-- I'm sure you'll love your parties this weekend. Can't wait to get updated!

Decorations are to the nines for first sets at UM! After that its no frills. The night before first sets is always fun coz all the girls are blasting music and singing as we put up decorations.

I'll let Lisa tell you her favorite themes. But when I was an active last year, I redesigned the banners and the entire deco scheme for my house's mixers. but all the themes are funnn!

Re: :-)

when i gave my top ten i did put them in order of preference.

As for decorations the houses are definitely decked out to the nines for mixers. Crepe paper streaming down on the walls, ribbons hanging from the ceiling, confetti, girls in matching outfits, you get the idea. I dont want to reveal which color houses had what themes as it would give it away but alpahbetically the houses themes:
A-Chi-O: heaven
A-D-Pi: vegas
A-E-Phi: 70's
A-G-D: new orleans
Alpha Phi: Ski
Chi-O: coca cola
Tri-Delt: dream
DG: safari
D-Phi-E: broadway
Gamma Phi: beach bash
Theta: colors
Kappa: carribean
Pi-Phi: charlies angels
S-D-T: cowboys and indians
Sigma Kappa: camp
