Informal Rush - Page 8

Don't let your doubts scare you out of rushing, & make sure don't make excuses only to keep from potentialy being hurt. I know you have awsome grades, so it doesn't seem like a "real" reason to me. Do what's best for you, and if your grades really are lower than what you'd want, take your time & focus on that. I just find it hard to believe that your GPA isn't sky high already. You don't have to be honest with GC, but be honest with yourself. We already know you'll do great.

It seems as though I joined this thread too late. I just sat here and read through the entire thing! It's so interesting! Although my sorority isn't at UH I'm still pulling for you! Yes, please keep us posted how things go in the fall.

I think it's great that you'll be rushing as a junior! I wish you the best of luck!

It's been awhile since you posted, but here's an answer. If you want to rush at UH, go to www.uh.edu/greek/national/HCPA
That has info and you can look at the sororities. Do not be afraid to rush just because of what year you are. UH is not very cut-throat.

I can't believe I accidentally stumbled on to this thread! Several other people from U of H found it, too. Listen, it is not too late to join! Its not so hard core at UH...you have a huge opportunity and you oughta take it. I pledged my fraternity at Tech and have friends from schools all over the state. Trust me, you have a big opportunity here and you don't wanna miss it. You can still keep your grades up, too. UH is a great place to get involved in student government, too.
