My little sister now is a Tri-Delta at University of Texas-Arlington. I guess I sort of had an influence on her deciding to join a sorority and she loves it now. Tri-Deltas are real good in the South and I did not realize the headquarters of Delta Delta Delta is in Arlington, TX until she joined

Don't know whether I've posted in this thread yet, but the only other Greek in my family is my Mother-in-law, who is an ADPi from Wittenberg University in Ohio.

She apparantely had a bad experience, though, because she told Mrs. DeltAlum that if she pledged, she would never see another cent from them for college.

Interestingly, though, there was some kind of reunion that she went to last year, and we have a picture of her and father-in-law standing in front of the ADPi House.

Our oldest daughter is in a Greek Letter academic honor society -- but I'd never heard of it before she got in. I say "got in" because I don't even know if there was any kind of initiation.

i just found out the nite before last that my best friend's mother is a phi mu legacy. her mother was a phi mu. one of her sisters is a phi mu and the other isnt in a sorority. she also has two cousins that are a phi mu and one is a tri-delta. all at ole miss. i was so exited. we stayed up half the nite talking about sororities and why she didnt join a sorority and dropped out of rush at state. my best friend just put in a movie and ignored us lol. its great. i'm so exited.

Well in my immediate family even though I not the only to go to college, I am the only Greek thus far. But my Grandmother's sister (my Great Aunt) has Greeks in her family, her Son is a memeber of Omega Psi Phi and her Granddaughter is a memeber of Delta Sigma Theta( I love them to death).

I am the first in my immediately family to join a GLO! I have a second cousin on my dad's side who was in a sorority in high school many years ago. Her brother might have been in a fraternity in college, but I am not sure about that.
