2 episodes ago, Abby gave solos to both Maddie and Chloe. What she didn't tell the moms or the girls (in the beginning) was that she gave them the exact same solo. Chloe was gracious and even through her tears, she gave the 1st place plaque to Maddie and congratulated her while Abby gloated.

It was horrible to watch this. I have never understood why Abby hates Chloe so much. Yes the moms are annoying and petty but to take it out on their daughters is beyond insane.

Hmmmm...I think I saw bits and pieces of that episode. Thanks for sharing! That's pretty horrific. How nasty can you be? I am surprised by how Christy (Chloe's mom) and Kelly have been acting towards one another. Okay, I am also sick of Kristy (Asia's mom) because she is obnoxious! I have to ask---Did Melissa have an affair with a married man who she later married? I got the impression the way she acted throughout the one season that he was married and they were trying to keep it under wraps. Am I wrong about this? If so, she definitely does NOT have my support. Also, she tries way too hard to "fit in" with the other moms. It's almost sad and makes you think of someone in high school so desperately wanting to be popular. She is living through her kids. Thanks for the update!

I forgot that show existed, but was watching Drop Dead Diva (great show, BTW

) and the teacher was a guest star. I think I looked it up and saw that the show was still on, but it just seems so off the wall.

It seems that Dance Moms is headed down the same path as most other "reality" shows. It has to become nastier or more controversial and produce more & more drama every week, in order to stay on the air. Not much interest in watching people who play nice & work together, I guess. Someone is always stabbing/ being stabbed in the back.

This is one of the best shows ever and btw Abbey Lee Miller isn't as mean as she appears on television!

On several of the episodes from the season before the one currently airing I thought that Christie (Chloe's mom) appeared to be pregnant. Anyone else notice that? Sometimes she seemed to have a baby bump, then other episodes no bump.

Also noticed that Christie isn't wearing her hair extensions this season. She's def dialing it down! Lastly, that Chloe is such a sweetheart. It is terrible how that girl is treated on the show! Feel badly for her.

Did the whole bunch move to LA? Same cast?

It got to be too hard to beat my husband and kids to the TV to see it (I only have sons left at home and they sure don't want to watch it).

That depends when you last watched.
Kelly, Brooke, and Paige were kicked off the team (and now have 2 lawsuits against Abby). And Christie and Chloe left voluntarily.

Other than that the cast did travel to L.A. with her, with the additions of JoJo and Kalani.

Abby still has the studio in Pittsburgh (which she ditches the girls in L.A. for regularly) so I don't think any of them moved there.

I have so many issues with the show (yet I still watch) but how is Abby supposed to be an amazing dance teacher when she doesn't or can't dance. It makes no sense.

Also I don't give her much credit for Maddy.

This. I watched the Season 1 marathon yesterday and then the premiere. I was truly horrified at how cruel & basically a bitch Abby is to the kids and to the moms. She's yelling at little Mackenzie for crying. HELLO! The little girl is 6 years old. Of course she's going to cry.

The moms stand up to her but they always end up backing down which is really irritating.

I want to one day put my little girl in dance but I would NEVER allow someone to be so cruel and hurtful to my daughter. There will be hell to pay if someone said such nasty things to my child.

I wonder if there aren't other good dance schools in the area. Don't understand why the moms don't just take their daughters and their money elsewhere. I certainly would.

According to what the moms say on the show, Abby produces more professional dancers (though if this is true I have no clue).
