The song about 'chestnuts roasting on an open fire'. I'm so tired of hearing about Chet's Nuts I could scream.

I hate any Christmas songs before Thanksgiving season. Why would you sing Christmas songs in October?!

Last weekend, one of the radio stations was having a "holiday preview listening weekend". Nothing but Christmas all weekend--I was not in the mood, so ditched the station.

I hate Christmas carols before Thanksgiving!

We have a radio station that started playing 100% Christmas music on November 1st. I will not listen to them AT ALL until the day after Thanksgiving.

What is the "Christmas Shoes" song??
I don't think I've ever heard that one.

And I have to agree with everyone else about playing carols in October or November-last week, one of the radio stations started to play them, and I had road rage. I don't need 2 months of the same songs over and over!!

I have a special reason to hate this song, as it came out a couple months after my daddy died. In fact, I have tears in my eyes as I copy this. You have to put the right amount of whine & pathos into this:

Christmas Shoes

It was almost Christmas time
there I stood in another line
tryin to buy that last gift or two
not really in the Christmas mood
standing right in front of me
was a little boy waiting anxiously
pacing around like little boys do
and in his hand he held
a pair of shoes

and his clothes were worn and old
he was dirty from head to toe
and when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say

Sir I wanna buy these shoes, for my momma please
it's Christmas eve and these shoes are just her size
could you hurry sir?
daddy says there's not much time
you see she's been sick for quite a while
and I know these shoes will make her smile
and I want her to look beautiful
if momma meets Jesus tonight

they counted pennies for what seemed like years
and the cashier said son there's not enough here
he searched his pockets frantically
and he turned and he looked at me
and he said momma made Christmas good at our house
most years she just did without
tell me sir
what am I gonna do?
some how I gotta buy her these Christmas shoes

so I laid the money down
I just had to help him out
and I'll never forget
the look on his face
when he said momma's gonna look so great

sir I wanna buy these shoes, for my momma please
it's Christmas eve and these shoes are just her size
could you hurry sir?
daddy says there's not much time
you see she's been sick for quite a while
and I know these shoes will make her smile
and I want her to look beautiful
if momma meets Jesus tonight

I knew i caught a glimpse of heaven's love as he thanked me and ran out
I know that God has sent that little boy to remind me
what Christmas is all about

sir I wanna buy these shoes, for my momma please
it's Christmas eve and these shoes are just her size
could you hurry sir?
daddy says there's not much time
you see she's been sick for quite a while
and I know these shoes will make her smile
and I want her to look beautiful
if momma meets Jesus tonight

I want her to look beautiful
if momma meets Jesus tonight

i hate pretty much all Christmas music. I just cannot stand it. A few songs i like, but not many. bad thing...my mom LOVES Christmas music. she has MULTIPLE cd's with the stuff and will actually listen to it in the car. she's a nut but i love her.

i especially hate when they start with the christmas song before thanksgiving. that is just wrong. so is putting up a tree before thanksgiving.

I'm so glad I've never heard the Christmas donkey song. Or Christmas Shoes.

My least favorites:

"It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" - It's the most overplayed song of the season!

"Jingle Bell Rock" - I used to like this song until a few years ago, when I was at a restaurant with my ex-boyfriend. We were seated right near the entrance, and there was a motion-sensitive Dancing Santa that played that song if someone walked by. It was a pretty busy night...so we got to hear it over and over and over and OVER...I seriously wanted to throw that Santa out the window.

"Little Saint Nick" - Beach Boys
"Wonderful Christmastime" - Paul McCartney
"All I Want For Christmas Is You" - Mariah Carey
"I'll Be Home For Christmas"

Any Christmas song played before Thanksgiving or after Christmas.
By mid-December I hate almost all of it because I've heard it way too much!

Not exactly a Christmas song, but I HATE Adam Sandler's Channukah Song.

It's like he's tone deaf.

Also:

The First Noel
Mariah Carey singing All I Want for Christmas, anyone else is okay.
Happy Holidays
the Christmas song to the tune of Greensleeves
Anything by Julio Inglesias, ESPECIALLY Feliz Navidad

And of course: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I happen to like Grandma got run Over by a Reindeer and Rusty Chevrolet

Today the music teacher had all her classes singing Jingle Bells. The library is right next to the auditorium so I got to hear it all day. By 3:00 I was ready to twist off on someone.

Oh my gawwwwd...I think I'm going to go open a vein now.
That's depressing! Nothing like a steaming hot helping of guilt to go along with the holidays.

Man, this is hard! I love Christmas music. I'm sure I'll think of some in a few weeks though.

I guess "O Christmas Tree"... that one's kind of boring.
