I have read all the posts and actually, I thought the entire thread
was very civil when compared with many in the past.
This is just one of those topics that carry a lot of emotion. Most of us know someone who has/is fighting in Iraq so we have a lot to say about it.
OBL may never be found. If anyone wants to hang their hat on that issue, go right ahead, but most people SHOULD realize he is an entirely different kind of enemy. His followers-specifically the ones who know his location- believe in his message.
Saddam's closest followers believed in the money.
And yes, the Dems platform was being scripted around the economy and Iraq. THAT's politics. They just backed the wrong horse. Americans can have short memories. So nothing that is happening at this moment will insure success for any party in the next election. What WILL determine the outcome is the "state of the nation" when the polls open.
