Carla, when you were at the bookstore down here, did you get a chance to meet the owners? I'm going to put you in touch with them now. They will host you for a signing later.

We need to start thinking about pictures (as in of you) for the back cover. Then we can use that same picture for the posters that stores will hang for your signings.

If you need a test group, I would be happy to ask my girls to read and write responses. (You love how I still give assignments but no longer teach, lol).

ETA: I am always putting the cart before the horse. It's my way of motivating, that's all.

CT4 your website looks great! Growing up I too read the SVH series. I am especially glad that you are filling a void for young African American teens by writing a book for them from the Afro-American/Cultural perspective. Thanks you all so much for visiting the site, passing it on to others. In the 3 days that the site has been public, I have received so many hits. Thanks to all of you who have visited, spread the word, and promised to buy the first copy. That first copy goes to my mother. but yall can get the first after her copies.

I count it a joy to finally be finding my life work.

For those in Charlotte, I learned Tuesday that Janine Davis, JD the Diva with the Dirt on Power 98, owns the non-profit Girl Talk. I also went to their website and learned that she is a soror. I e-mailed her and she wants me to come to a Girl Talk rap session. I am truly honored and know that it is nothing I have done to merit this.

For those of you who have alumni lists, chapter mailing lists, church youth group lists, etc. etc. etc. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PASS IT ON. I want to show those who said no that my book has merit.

I am actually glad they said no. I am learning more about this business and can promote myself and others.

I have to start a publishing company. That means another door opening for others. I promise.

Join the mailing list. Sign the g'book. Tell others. Pray for me and my strength.

Congratulations, soror! I am so proud of your accomplishments. They have seriously motivated me to stay at my computer and finish all these half done screenplays, scripts, and novels. lol

I will definitely pass your site on to the sorors of my chapter, all the sorors I know, and all of the rest of my friends who love books. I also have several friends who teach high school. Hopefully they can help generate interest amongst their students.

I am so thankful that God is blessing you to achieve your life's dream.

When the book becomes available let me know so I can get several copies for the Orangeburg Area Boys and Girls Club.
