Just think, in twenty-four hours, most of our noses will be buried in the last Harry Potter book. I just finished Book 6, so I am ready to read.

15 hours people (well, 15 hours my time at least)!!!!

However, I don't think the book store across the street from me will be open at midnight, but I might pop by after work just to make sure. I really want to be able to pick up the book at 12:01am tomorrow.

They are closing a major street (part of it anyway) tonight in down town Toronto and turning it into Diagon Alley. It's times like these that make me wish I had children, or at least someone who was a Harry Potter nut like me to go with.

The anticipation is killing me. I've seen some fake spoilers that cracked me up. The spoilers don't bother me too much because I enjoy knowing the plot and how the events happened, but I've been told they're all fake.
Best fake I saw was this:

http://community.livejournal.com/dam...62.html#cutid1

I swear to god it's a total fake so please read it and laugh.

http://maureenjohnson.blogspot.com/2...-revealed.html

This had me peeing my pants laughing.

Finally, BBC Radio 1 does a fake spoiler with every new book. They set it up so well yesterday that they got death threats and some chick hysterically crying on the phone. Oh god it was hilarious. I mean I'm a huge fan and I've been avoiding spoilers like the plague but that doesn't stop me from laughing.

Swear to god I will be waiting at my front door tomorrow morning with a crisp $20 bill in my hand, ready to hug and tip my UPS guy. My mum's in England. If I don't wind up flying over to join her, I asked her to pick me up the copy with the locket on the front.

12 hours and I will be reading the final harry potter! There's a town near mine that's turning the main street into diagon alley too. The restaurants are selling harry potter food, the library is being turned into the forbidden forrest, and vendors will be selling various harry potter stuff like wands. I'm way excited!

I can't do the whole late night thing (although I did reserve a copy at Borders, I'm now thinking I'll just go into Costco tomorrow morning when they open and pick up my copy there instead).

Now to focus on finishing the book I'm currently reading (as well as doing some actual work) so that I can start the new book when I get it

I am also a silver. I am glad I went at lunch to get the wristband. I doubt my fiancee would want to wait around like we did for The Half-Blood Prince. This day is not moving fast enough!!

I never have before. I've always just run in the next morning to get the book, and I would do that again this time, but my 9-year-old really, really wants to go. He lost interest in HP 2+ years ago, but gained it back recently and tore through the books. He's really psyched, and especially since this will be the last HP event like this, I'm taking him to the Grand Hallows Ball.

We're going to an 11pm showing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, so on the trek back home we'll probably stop into the local Wally World to pick up a copy. If it's somehow sold out, then I'll copy polarpi and head to Costco in the morning.

I'm the one person who really doesn't care and hasn't read any of them, but the other four people in this house are counting minutes until the book is released.
