Have you ever had a close friend (who is nowhere near Greek savvy but knew about your interest) say something TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE in front of a member of your org of interest?
Eg.:
Member: How are you ladies doing?
You: Very well, and you?
Friend (to Member): Oh, you're an XYZ...Jane, isn't that what you're gonna be?
You: ~faints~

Absolutely! I got a stocking cap weave and tried to take it out the next day! I couldn't do it without damaging my own hair, so I was stuck with it for the weekend (I was at a conference full of black doctoral students and felt sooo bad).
Have you ever made yourself late because you were too busy primping (couldn't figure out what to wear, trying to match accessories, re-doing your hair, etc.)?
