Ok, I like this posting in white thing. I have a few thoughts myself.

First of all, the time shifts=the worst migraine ever. If you've never had a migraine, watch LOST and you will know.

I understood Charlotte's comment about Daniel the same way Senusret did, I didn't really notice her say "old," but assumed it was b/c she was a little kid and he was whatever age, just older than she. Plus, we already knew he was there b/c we saw him in the Orchid station when DHARMA was building it.
I'm trying to remember if perhaps we saw Charlotte in the schoolroom as one of the DHARMA little kids..... Also, who was Ben's childhood friend? Remember that one little nice girl? I don't think it was Charlotte because if I remember correctly that little girl died (this is WAY back, my memory may be fuzzy here)??? But anyway, it would be interesting if they had shown Charlotte as a little DHARMA kid in the 70s... maybe I'll do some research and go back to that episode.

Ok, if Jack's dad (who I still take as a messenger, then didn't say he was Jacob or anything in this episode) has such issues with Ben and Locke not following his instructions about moving the island literally to the T (that Locke had to do it and not Ben), then there should be an issue this time. He told Locke to "give it a little push," but then Locke PULLS the wheel!!! AGGHHH THE WORLD WILL END! Actually, I don't think this has to do with anything, I just get excited when I think I outsmart the show's writers

I wrote a lot about the engagement ring episode where Hawking and Desmond meet a few pages back on here... the episode name escapes me at the moment.

This might already have been addressed in the show and I'm just forgetting, but why did Alex (D Rousseau's daughter) think Ben was her dad? I seem to remember that he kidnapped her??? I don't remember why she was with him and why she believed he was her father.

If Ben is flawed... then why does E Hawking trust him... Honestly, I agree that his illusions of grandeur are just that-- illusions and that he is a mere pawn in the grander scheme of things. Either Hawking trusts him or she is just using him.

Also, do you think that if Locke had made it back to the real world alive, he would have told Sun what Jin wanted him to tell her, that he is dead? Or do you think he would have told her the truth to supposedly "save" the island, essentially sacrificing Jin's wishes? I'm giving Ben the "Ben"efit (badump ching) of the doubt here and guessing he just took the ring off Locke after he was dead and didn't know Jin's true wishes, though it is questionable if he would have honored them or not.

Here are my thoughts:

The Temple didn't have the weird symbols when the men went in it after the Monster. They were there when Jin was next to it after the flash, though. They might be a warning that Rousseau and her team put there?

I'm pretty sure Ben had The Others kidnap Alex when she was born. Danielle gave birth alone (as far as we know right now), so she might have passed out from exhaustion and that's when they took her. Remember how curious they were about Claire? It's impossible for women to give birth on the Island without dying. Danielle being able to do it means that there might be something special about Alex and Ben, the selfish little rat that he tends to be, probably wanted it.

A friend of mine is convinced this idea is too simple, but I'm thinking maybe Ben had Locke killed or killed Locke himself so that Locke couldn't dissuade Sun from returning to the Island, then took the ring off of him to give to Sun as proof that he was still alive.

I don't really have much to say about this episode, as I don't think it left me wondering as much as most other episodes have.

Only one question... when Charlotte said she thinks she remembers Daniel from when she was younger, does she remember him as he looks now? I can't remember if she said "older" man, but I know she said "crazy". This is the one thing I'm confused about.

(And not to sound mean or anything, but can we all stop writing in white? If someone hasn't yet seen the episode and they click into this thread looking for the latest posts, they really wouldn't have any right to get mad if and when people ruin it for them).

Ditto! Thank you! That's why I haven't read the Bachelor thread the whole season!

I don't even know what to think. I'm so confused.

Not writing in white 'cause I don't know how!

PhiMu - only women who BECOME pregnant on the island die - hence Sun's "who is the baby daddy" question's importance.

And WHO is Jacob's son? I didn't pick up that it was Jack - what am I missing?

When Locke saw Christian in the well, Christian said something like, "When you came to see me at my cabin..." This suggests that Christian is Jacob, since all previous references to the cabin have led us to believe the cabin is Jacob's.

So, if Christian is Jacob, then Jack would be his (Jacob's) son. (Likewise, Claire would be Jacob's daughter.)

I just went back and re-watched the scene. Christian said something about talking to Locke at THE cabin, not necessarily HIS cabin. I'm not convinced he's Jacob. I do, however, think Jacob might have the power to animate dead bodies to act as his messengers, which is why Christian, who died before he ever reached the Island, is suddenly up and walking around. Maybe that's why Richard never ages, he isn't actually alive...?

As for the whole pregnant woman thing, Juliet said that Claire was starting to show signs of the same thing that killed the other pregnant women despite having conceived off the Island, which is why I figured they'd find Rousseau's pregnancy interesting even if she didn't conceive on the Island.

First off, sorry if I was annoying some by writing in white, I just know some of you are in a later time zone and I didn't want to spoil it....

Anyways...I am not buying the fact that Richard is dead...he has been seen off the island without aging, so I don't think he is dead; this might explain the crazy Russian dude a couple seasons ago who died several times... though I do agree that Jacob could animate dead people. Maybe that is why Hurley sees them in his dreams?

Ok, I am really confused about how old Charlotte is supposed to be.....I was thinking late twenties, early thirties so how could she be a kid during the Dharma years...

Also something strange I was thinking about last night...Remember at the begining of this season when the main Dharma guy (the guy who leaves all the weird videos at the stations) was getting out of bed...he had a baby..... I have a feeling that baby is Miles..... Faraday said something in the last episode to Miles about him being sure if this was his first time on the island....I am thinking he was born on the island...

Thanks - makes sense.

Well, it would've made sense if I had remembered the scene correctly. Based on what PhiMuTillIDie said after rewatching it, however, I don't know that what I said holds water anymore. But, if other viewers heard/interpreted that conversation the same way I did initially, then it makes sense why people are speculating that Jack is Jacob's son. That doesn't mean any of us are right, though.

I'm really liking that the producers (or whoever makes the decision) have started replaying the previous episode (with pop-ups!) right before the new episode. Some of the explanations in those pop-ups that are quite helpful.

Of all the LOST mysteries/questions, is there one question that eats at you more than others? What ONE question do you hope the creators fully explain by the end of the series?

Just one??? Okay, for me it is what is the one event / moment / person that connects everyone to the island. I think the producers have established that everyone is connected in some way, but it also seems it may be based on one unique "something".

I thought the room Faraday's mom was in looked familiar. That's the chapel from my high school! Yay Sacred Hearts!

I love creepy Ben. I wonder how he's going to get Sayid, Hurley and Kate to agree to return to the Island.

I adore Desmond! He's the cutest thing. Yummy!
