Our team isn't going to be half bad. We added age with Chelios and Suter though, that might not be good. Espn.com has a story about who is on our team so far now.

Hey Ulf samulesson sp? is up there too though he didn't take too many people out. I enjoyed watching him play. Part of the beauty of hockey is not cinderblock heads like Suter and dale hunter but guys like pat verbeek, who are dirty yet good at the same time.

We should be allowed to enter two teams. We have enough talent to do so.

Hell yeah, our forwards are great. But our defense is old and creaky and I have no idea who will be the goaltender. Whoever it is will have to play really well by a miracle like richter did a few years back in the world championships I think it was.

It was the world cup of '96 in Montreal. How do I know this? I was at that game! He was phenomenal. Speaking of the world cup/canada cup, how did the olympics take precedent over it?

I think the North Americans will have a better go this time around because they have much more preparation time. Last time they were tossed on a plane with no practices unlike the european teams like the czechs who had more time for the lines to gel.

No Osgood trade news as of yet...a few weeks ago, the "powers that be" said sometime before training but still no move.

Red Wings signed former Mighty Duck defenseman, Fredrik Olausson, to a one year deal.

Not sure what's going on with Osgood, trade talks have definitely fizzled out. Todd Gill's hometown is only 20 minutes from here.
I know Ottawa has gotta make an effort and get a center or we're not gonna be one of the top teams next year...i'm still waiting for team canada to say, 'okay the joke's over, allison is really one the team'

Looks like Red Wings are signing Brett Hull to a two year contract.

Wow those wings are throwing money around like it's outta style. Looks like they'll be a contender to win the cup this year if these geyers don't fall apart first. Who will be rioting if the wings choke (again) this year?

Won't phase me, they still aren't better than Colorado bar none. Another thing that people don't realize is the wings cut loose a bunch of their older players such as verbeek, gill, etc. Bowman likes older players and there isn't much to do about it because it is his way.
We can applaud ourselves for one thing, we did not trade for Lindros. That is truly a defenition of throwing money away.
