In any case, what's the point of buying the outfit if you have to cut it, shrink it and change the button sizes?
And as we've all been saying and things that don't get through to you is that we ALL have similar problems. These problems ARE NOT exclusive to petites. Some of us don't even HAVE the option of alterations. We would all like to be able to find things that fit and flatter us. It's hard to find good clothes that do that, for all of us.

Perhaps you should try to get on "What Not to Wear". Stacey and Clinton do an excellent job of showing people of all shapes and sizes how to find clothing for their particular body type.

I wish I could afford to tailor my clothes... tailored clothes look so much better on everyone. We're not all cut from the same mold, but the clothing is.

People would be a lot more sympathetic to your plight if you didn't keep saying that you had it the toughest.

A good tailor or seamstress can do can amazing job. Like you, my sister is petite. Unlike you, she had little interest in the petite department. (The clothes fit, but they weren't the most fashionable.) She would buy a cute outfit or suit and take it to the tailor who would work his magic. She would also find designers and styles that flatter her particular body type.

Maybe you should take sewing lessons. I know someone who would find patterns that she liked and would buy material to make clothes. She was really talented.

If your little sister was more interested in the petite department, then perhaps there would be more petite sizes out there. The issue here is that many petite women don't even know that these sizes exist, unlike plus sized women who are usually very well informed about plus sizes.

What's the matter, are you too short to read the "Petite" sign that hangs over the department??

Ok there is really no nice way of putting this: Taualumna, no one here cares about this except you. It's annoying how you think you're special and different because clothes don't fit you right. You're not the only one. If you're really serious about this, go find a forum for short people or whatnot, we just don't care.

Lol, oh damn.

There is a ton of cute petite clothing out there. I know, because i've accidentally wandered into the sections a couple of times, picked up something and said wow this is cute. Then I realized the jacket would probably hit an inch below my boobs

Ya'll I have to be honest and say that since I work at a plumbing company, and you never know when you're going to have to check in material, or drop material off at a job site, I wear cheap clothes to work (unless I have a meeting to go to that day, or someone special coming into the office) so I won't get my nice ones ripped or dirty. I have boobs and butt and I'm 5'2'', but I get my cheap clothes from Walmart and I never have a problem finding things that fit perfectly.

Wait, are you seriously complaining that her sister did something constructive about the terrible dilemma of petite clothing? It sounds like you feel that Peaches-n-Cream's sister, someone who has never met you, owes you, as a petite woman, some kind of duty to buy off-the-rack petite clothing so you and other similarly situated petite women might have an easier time finding petite clothing. Is that what you're saying?

Are you also saying that other petite women are too stupid to know what's out there in terms of clothing sizes?

You're welcome. If I were petite, that would make me mad. Good thing I'm not! I'm going to run to the mall and roll around in the tons and tons of clothing that all fits me perfectly!

To all you vertically challenged folks, I think the rest of us "average" and taller folks will pitch in and buy one of these that you can all use to help solve your clothing woes:

Even still, I think it's easier for us than plus size women, because if our clothes are too big, we can always alter. If a plus woman's size is too small, she (or I really should be saying we LOL) can't add fabric to the clothing. It's easier for me to fit something too long than something too tight.
