When it's time to eat and I bless the food, if I don't start eating right away...I HAVE to bless it again....and if I take a break from eating to do something then I have to come back and re-bless the food. My friends always laugh at me, but I can't help it

I rebless my food, even if there was already a group "blessing". My husband used to bless everything - even potato chips.

when i go to sleep it must be cold in the room, and no matter how cold it is i need to have the air conditioner or fan on.

I have to sleep with covers on my body and a portion has to be over my ear when I fall asleep.

When I drink Aquafina water it can't be cold it has to be room temperature.

When I put my shoes on I don't touch the bottom of my shoes because I dread to think of what I could have stepped in or on unknowingly regardless of how clean they look.

I agree with both of you about the bowling thing.

Hmmmm some weird things about me:

-There's fries with the pointed end and then there's fries with square ends...I don't eat the pointed ends. I just pinch them off. I am SERIOUS, they taste different!
-When I go out of town, I always bring a sleeping bag. Even if I'm staying in a hotel. The idea of sleeping in beds that thousands if not millions of people have slept in (and done goodness knows what) grosses me out.
-I can't sleep under the covers at home. They are so damn hot! Sometimes only a sheet and blanket isn't good enough, then I have to turn on the fan.
-I won't flush the toilet without the lid down.
-I won't eat foods and drink drinks that are the same color at the same time. An example, eating orange cheez-its and drinking orange soda.
-I won't eat meat out (except at applebee's). They don't cook it well enough for me. Applebee's is the only place in my area where their chicken isn't pink!
-I have the urge to SMELL everything that's new in my environment. Sometimes I do act out on the urge if no ones looking.
-I'm the same way with touch, I'm like a little kid, lol.
-I BITE into ice cream and popcicles. Which I thought was normal until a lot of people told me it wasn't.

I won't post one in particular, but I also count letters and words. I don't know why. If I'm watching tv, someone could say any word and I'll count in my head about 2 or 3 times. (Maybe I'm lightweight Autistic. Yes, I started doing this before I taught students with Autism).

When I take a shower or take a bath, I MUST step on a towel FIRST and dry my feet. I cannot step on the bathroom mat nor the bare floor

Also, when I can't sleep, I tell myself a story to get me back to sleep. And not just regular stories, either. I tell myself the story of how I met my first boyfriend, or the story of how I was in labor with my son, or the story of what I did in Lost Wages last summer, stuff like that. I'm usually asleep before I finish the story.

Oh my goodness...ME TOO!! That's hilarious. I thought I was the only person who did this. They must be square at the end. I don't even pinch the point off if it isn't square. Wendy's has the friendliest fries.

I'm REALLY embarrassed to admit this one. I've been doing it since I was a little girl. If I have a question about something, like for example, "Does Mike like me?", I'll look at a digitial clock or anything where I see numbers (but usually it's a clock). If the "minutes" are an EVEN number (like 10:06), that means "yes", Mike likes me, and if the minutes are on an ODD number (10:17), that means "no", Mike doesn't like me. I think when I was little, I used to do it b/c I was always so curious and asked myself so many questions.


I'm sad I still do this at age 28 and it absolutely means NOTHING!!

I have to have even amounts of money. even my change has to be even.

Anything in a quantity more than one has to be even count and length.

I tear the ends of an envelope instead of lifting the flap.

If I'm eating breakfast foods such as eggs and grits, I must mix them all together.

I won't drink something that has even the smallest crumb in it.

I have to tear my paper towels and toliet tissue on the perforation. If some tears it in the middle, I get irritated and tear off the torn part and throw it away.

I can't stand for the juices in my food to mix, so I strain everything so that it has only a little juice. When the juices mix the food tastes funny to me.

I feel you smlwonderdst,

...I get clowned by co-workers when we go out to lunch because I'm like this too. Once, a restaurant's catered meal had both beets, w/ beet juice which bleeds into everything else on the plate, and potato salad. I made a little "potato salad" dam, scooped out the p-salad untainted by the beet juice, and saved the meal.

I do something similar to this but I use music instead of numbers.
If I'm listening to the radio while in the middle of doing something or thinking of something, I'll let the music determine my next move.

Example: I'm cleaning---If a song comes on that I like I will continue cleaning. If a song comes on that I don't like I will stop.

If the next song is a ballad I will turn off the tv (always have tv & radio on at the same time) and pick up a book. If the next song is up-tempo I will continue to watch tv.

I've been doing this for years.
