If you had met these women somewhere else (like class, the union, work, whatever), could you be friends with them? Sisterhood has to start somewhere. It's something that grows and develops and changes. Don't feel like you have to have it all from the very beginning. It will come.

hi girls.
Dora was the only sorority that I put down on my bid card.
I know it's a suicide decision, but I know that Dora is the place that I can be me and do great things. The women there are phenomenal and I have already began admiring them.
I don't know if I'll get the bid or not, but life will go on either way.
This week has been crazier than I could have ever imagined. I've had my disappointments and my excitments...but from now on, it's out of my hands.
After all,
You only need one.

OK WOW this is very exciting. I was too scared to "suicide" bid. I really do hope you get what you want.
So, is bid day Sunday? or is it later on this afternoon?

I'm not familiar with the way UCF Pan deals with suicide bids, but I'm sending all of my Knight and Panhellenic love your way! I'm sure that must have been a tough choice to make, but it also shows how committed you are to truly finding the right fit for you and not just letters in general. You're completely right: you only need one-if it's the right one!
In preparing for tomorrow, I hope you take pride in how far you've come through recruitment! A lot of wonderful women never make it this far and you've shown grace in acceptance of the, at times, difficult process.
Best of luck CurlyHead!

yes yes, i did find a home.
and i bet you are wondering what it is maybe?!?!?
Well, Dora just happens to be
Kappa Alpha Theta!
We had an a-m-a-z-i-n-g bid day, and it ended with a bang. [surprise balloons and flowers and a card from a sister when i walk back into my apartment at the end of the day] and I just know that this is going to be awesome.
:-D *big ridiculous smile*
