I'm not a member of any greek organization, but this post is by far one of my favorites. I see this an opportunity for me to vent. Today has been quite hectic, so here goes.

Don't you hate it when:

1. You enter a room where people are talking or laughing and then they stop when you walk in?

2. When your beeper goes off during the weekend and find out that it's just your client's mother complaining about him/her not listening to her fuss?

3. You get in the checkout line at the store, 4 people are in front of you and then you realize that they are all together?

4. When your husband, daughter, and son all decide that they have to use the bathroom just when you do or when you are in the bathtub?

5. You go out of your way to cook a fabulous dinner for your husband and he walks in the house with a hamburger and fries?

6. Someone asks you for your honest opinion about an issue that they are facing and when you give it to them, they get mad?

Just like everyone else, I could go on and on, but there is just not enough space or time to put it all down.

Don't you hate it when...

You trip in public

You have to deal with your school's inadequate financial aid office.

You hvae to pay twice as much to fill up your tank

Someone wants a ride somewhere, but never wants to give up the gas money

People think just because you have money, you should be willing to pay their way

Youre seeing a movie (in those AMC style seats) and someone insists on kicking your seat

Fellow interests broadcast misinformation and swear they are right

2) Men who keep calling and calling, but don't have anything to say
2) people who act like their problems are bigger than yours (No girl, this is bad...)
4) people who don't listen
5) when you think you've found the perfect man, and he never calls you back, and you don't want to call him over and over for fear of being psycho
6)when your mother flips on the light at 8:00 am on your day off and wants totalk to you about nothing that she can't call later for(maybe it's just my mom)
7) when you are at home for break, and your mother makes all of your appt.'s at the break of dawn

10) all the ghetto people that alwys get on the news!

When I lived on campus, my mother used to CALL me at 8-9 am and ASK me what I was doing!!! (Umm...I didn't have class till 2 pm!! I was sleeping!)

Anywhooooo...don't you hate it when...

1. A skinny/slim person complains about their weight and here you are with a REAL weight issue?

2. Don't you hate it when you have something really important to tell someone and when you finally get the chance to do it, you forget whatever it was that you were supposed to tell them?

3. Don't you hate it when the ending of a story or movie does not end the way that you think it should end?

4. Don't you hate it when you are at a stop light and you look over and someone is picking their nose? (Gross!!!)

5. Don't you hate it when someone is being a complete a**hole or a phony (and on top of that they are being really loud)?

6. Don't you hate it when you look at someone laughing and you notice that they have all of this muck all over their teeth?

7. Don't you hate it when you see young children (especially adolescents) being disrespectful to their parents/grandparents/or other adults?

8. Don't you hate it when someone bites the silverware while eating or rubs two pieces of silverware together?

9. Don't you hate it when you see babies who need to be washed or changed and their mothers won't do it (and haven't done for like DAYS)?

10. Don't you hate it when you get into a good sleep and then the phone rings (and the phone is in another room or across the room)?

Like many, I could go on and on and on.

...when you're at a family reunion and your mama still acts like your 5 years old ("did you give Aunt Gladys a hug?...and Aunt Gladys is standing right beside you both)
...when people search for you from AOL IM and IM w/ some bullsh*t like A/S/L?...
...when you're trying to get some studying done, and there's a good movie on HBO at the same time.
...when dining hall workers or janitors at your college try to holla
...when you run out of deoderant and have to dig your finger in it to try to make it last one more day
...when you lose one earring from a pair
...you see fellow black folks acting a damn fool around white people
...when you know you NEED to go to church, but that bed feels EXTRA good on Sunday morning
...when the same person comes over and borrows your stuff instead of going shopping and buying their own stuff.
...when you ride by bad sewage and everyone in the car feels they have to defend themselves by saying, "it wasn't me"

. . . you meet with their parents and they all look at you like you are a Martian while you are presenting information but afterwards they smile at you and want to talk to you after the allotted time?

. . . you look nice and no one confirms it for you/gives you a compliment?

. . .a concert comes to town and you miss it?

. . . your minister goes out of town but you come to church not knowing and have to suffer through another minister's sermon which makes you sit and read the Bible to keep from falling asleep?

. . .you have to sit through a 40 minute waste of time video that your school district put together and you are sleepy as crap?

. . . after 4 years of working with people they still pronunce your last name WRONG?

. . .a good song comes on the radio as you are getting out of the car and your radio is blasting and you cannot pretend that you are listening to a captivating news report as you see your co workers in the parking lot?

. . .you sit on the Internet during your free time and no one sends you a good e-mail or no good convo is taking place on GC?

. . . you plan a good activity and the other person is not agreeable to it although you asked them and tell you whatever you decide is fine by me but it really is not?

2) Now that you are greek, you have to deal with people that you have never spoken to before all up in your face?

3) When your best friend is mad at you, but being the person that she is, sulks quietly until you say something!

4) That just because you are dark skinned, other dark men don;t want to talk to you?

5) Your friends know you have to get up in the morning, but they want to keep you up until 4 am?

6) You only have an hour to sleep, but everybody and their mama picks that hour to call, but if you were bored out your mind, they wouldn't be anywhere to be found?

7) That just because you don't go to church, everyone assumes you do not believe in God or don't know anything about being spiritual? (uh, how else am I living?)

8) When someone e-mails you, and you reply, but you either never hear from them again, or they take three weeks to reply?

9) When you get the finest man in the party, only to find out he's visiting for the weekend

10)People who automatically believe sorority girls are easy, and only live to party.

11) When someone borrows a cd, and they bring it back scratched, but they insist they got it like that.

12) You are a pretty dark-skinned girl! (enuf said)

13) When people ask me if I'm a Delta or in a fratenity/sorority when I have my 'nalia on.
