TO the VP of HR: Don't preach process and procedure and the value and need to follow it and then go outside of that policy to hire your (white male) friend. Naw, we ain't stupid and when you do stuff like this it's like you are saying, "Please sue me! I want to give you some of my money!" Don't you know we work in HR too? Do you think we know the laws? Two words for you: Adverse Impact.

p.s. Yes, I am a professional and I will act accordingly when he comes, but don't expect me to make something up or spin doctor it for you to the rest of our employees when you did not even have the courtesy of telling us face to face. You have ZERO credibility now.

If you have questions about assignments, the course, etc...ask them in class or during my office hours. Don't wait until the end of the semester and then complain in my evaluations that you never understood what I wanted.
Please don't think that just because you were admitted to an "ivy-league" institution that you don't have to work anymore. You aren't getting an A from me for just showing up to my class; you are expected to work.

Guess what, the people that read those evaluations know exactly what they are a reflection of. So please do not think that you are going to significantly impact my career with your melodramatic and groundless critiques.

TO MY FOLKS: Now why the hell do we need a FIFTH DVD player in our house? My mom has a portable one, my dad does too, my brother has one on his X-Box, and I have one on my Playstation 2. They are saying that they need one with a recorder.

They could've got something cool w/ their income tax money instead of that. How about a big ol' gas grill? HC my folks will kill me if they find out that i'm telling their personal bidness on the internet?

To M.W.: NOTHING thus far in my teaching career has brought me more joy than talking to you last night. To hear that you were thankful for coming to that treatment center and having me as your teacher touched my heart in the deepest way. It has been almost three years since I began teaching and that was truly my happiest moment. Kids tell me all the time that I am their favorite teacher, but cuss me out in the next breath. For you to have been discharged, with nothing to gain from flattery and still admit these feelings, I know that they are real. People may have thought of you as a lost cause and talked about how you were hopeless, but I had faith in you. I saw something in you that made me try so hard to teach you to read and do math. I wish you so much luck in life and I will pray that you reach your dreams.

To all the other funky winches in my class: Some days I hate your guts! You all exemplify the phrase, "Misery Loves Company." You are all miserable, therefore, you try to drag me down. It won't happen. That negative spirit jumps up in me everyday and I get just as crazy as you all. However, I let loose and shake the devil off everyday that I leave. The sad part is that you all don't have to act like that. Can you all be saved? Who knows? No one even wants to be bothered with that foolishness. I will pray for you all. I pray that you all get on the right path and learn that the streets don't owe you anything. You can make a way and find a way if you try.

To Li'l Miss. Mocha...I love you so much, and want the very best for you. I hope that you continue to try to improve your behavior. I've said it before and I mean it, if we allow you to transfer schools, we better not keep getting the same dang-on reports about you having a smart mouth & a bad attitude.

To my husband...Thank you so much for your never ending patience. I don't have to look far to see where Li'l Miss. Mocha gets her smart mouth & bad attitude.

To myself...Miss. Mocha, when in the hell are you gonna put your book out? Your family is going to hell in handbasket, and could use that loot. What are you waiting on? What are you, SCARED or something? You know you have writing talent, put the FREAKING book out! Write your querie letter TODAY!

To my professor: Can you PLEASE find a larger room for us students?? There are about 100 of us and we cannot spend the summer sitting on top of one another. I know it's a group dynamics course, but we ain't gotta be that dayum close to one another. We pay enough money as it is for tuition, please hook us up with some space. Thank you!!
