Aw. I'm sorry. You know, your check must have gotten lost or else you would have got your shirt! I'll go check tonight to see if we have any more. I'm so sorry!

Yes, that's right, their mascot is a woman's undergarment. Actually, I think the blue hose they are in reference of are more like socks, but you get my point.
Actually, Blue Hose, at least as depicted by Presbyterian College, is taken to refer to kilted Scotsmen (wearing blue stockings). This is Presbyterian College after all, and aside from the Scottish roots, blue is the color traditionally associated with both Scotland and Presbyterianism.

Read the Blue Hose history here: What's in a Name?

I know, but it's funnier if you tell people it's socks. ;-) Because the "blue hose" of the name IS talking about the blue hose that the Scotsmen wore... just their actual mascot is a little Scottish guy running around. Come ON, it's FUNNY! Even people who go to PC laugh about it.

Speaking of squirrel, I did it again this year. For second time in two years, I was part of the famous AGD Rho's "Grey Squirrel" dance ritual in front of the house ... to celebrate the overall victory of Greek Week.

Go Squirrel!

Granted, it's very funny, and it's a HUGE target for rivals' taunts. I didn't mean to suggest it's not funny ('cause I want to maintain at least some credibility).

Have you ever heard the PC fight song? Also funny!

Red face Squirrels

Having spent time with the Infantry at a wonderful place called Fort Hunter Liggett in California (they filmed We were Soldiers there because it looks like Vietnam, also has mountains, swamps, desert, etc - etc) the squirrels have a very unique habit. They dig burrows underground - no they are not prairie dogs, I'm from Tennessee - I know a squirrel when I see one. Well the military does most of it's missions at night, so you step down into one of those ankle breakers dug by one of those "little, cute" critters 30 klicks from nowhere and you develop a new respect for how they defend themselves. Also, they had a nasty habit of getting the Bubonic plague, yes The Bubonic Plague and when troops flopped down on the ground over one of their holes - a little bite here and there caused quiet the sensation. Needless to say the squirrels were greatly respected and feared. They caused more casualties in most war games than dehydration, mechanical accidents, or sunstroke combined.
Hooah! :-D
