Would agree
I just bought a couple and they are very BRIGHT. Brighter in person than on the website. Not something "formal" enough to wear to pref I think.

I wore one to my bridal shower & everyone kept making jokes that not only is the bride's happiness is lighting up the room, so is her dress.

Not exactly LP..
This isn't LP, but I thought it it, lol. I don't know how long the link will appear but it is a very cute $69 dress from www.coldwatercreek.com
It is very brightly colored with a fuschia background and has yellow butterflies and green ferns on it. There is a lime green cardigan draped on the shoulder.

Okay, I'm in love with Lilly dresses once again. (They were a constant growing up, but somewhere along the line I discovered black) When I was at the Lilly store in Boston, I tried this dress on (Bermuda Pink), but the smallest size they had was too big:
But, if things go as planned, I'm getting married on the beach. Would a Lilly be too much for bridesmaids on the beach? I'm thinking the "Iced Pink Rolls Royce" pattern.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! I can't find the pattern Iced Pink Rolls Royce. I like pink for bridesmaids.
I bought a cute blue pattern halter dress for my trip. I don't know who designed it, but I like it.

I have never heard of a "Lilly" dress and I go to a Pac-10 school with a very competitive greek system. Here it's all about what you wear and where you got it. Though you're much more likely to see someone in Juicy Couture than Lilly Pulitzer. And by the way the Betsy Johnson dress Moxie picked out for pref night is PERFECT. I love that dress!

TOTALLY TRUE!! I can't even imagine wearing alot of the lilly stuff, not only is it just not my style (though it is very fun!!).....Atleast at 'SC, alot of what you see is very much seven jeans, juicy couture, blue cult, diesel, miss sixty, prada, louis vuitton, and bebe etc.. It's very much the area!!

I agree...atleast on the Banana part (we don't have bloomingdales in az!), and very recently, some Missoni-esque dresses just came in that are crazy fun! You should totally check them out!!

I'd have to totally disagree. I remember a LOT of girls wearing Lilly dresses during rush, especially for the 2nd round. One of the first things I did in the week after bid day is tag along with a group of sisters who were going to Saks because Lilly's were on sale that week. They make excellent dresses for Monday Night Dinners and alumnae tea's as well.
SC can be very superficial, but it is also fairly casual, and that is why Juicy and Seven and Miss Sixty and other ritzy jeans and "hang out" clothes are so popular. But as far as Prada and Louis Vuitton, you see a lot of their purses but never really any of their clothes. That is probably why there aren't a lot of Lilly dresses around campus either because it is often too laid back for sundresses!

Really?! I know I had never heard about them from anyone I knew at SC! Maybe I am just totally forgetting things though! it was almost two years ago that I (partially) went through rush.....It just seems that the whole 'sc look is very much different than alot of the Lilly clothing that I've seen....maybe not all the dresses though?
Yea, I also haven't seen all that much of the prada/louis clothing....but definitely the shoes!!!
