I personally believe it depends on the person. Yes my doctor warned me about being out because she did not want me to have a set back.
~~~Side Bar~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dr. Kathleen Coutino was the BOMB OBGYN!
HC she told me the correct day of conception
HC the day before I went into labor she told me I would not make it until the weekend....I didn't... went into labor 12-31-97 at 8:06 pm and gave NATURAL birth 3 hours later at 11:06 p.m.
HC she said my baby deserved all the stuff the first baby born in the new gets because he was born closer to the new year than the next baby that was born at 5:30 am
~~~EndSide Bar~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I did not take my son out until he had to go to the doctor, but I was out and about shopping and doing things that mothers have to do.

Re: Milwaukee boy suffocated at prayer service...
I checked the discussion board on this, and I couldn't believe the MORON who posted this about the little man's death:
"That is a reason for the police to put soneone black in jail.That was a big mistake. Just let it go.I just have to say to the family keep your head up.Hes somewhere special.Im going to keep you all in my prays."
WTF?

This isht just doesn't stop......
Starving girl brain-dead,
nab mom
By DEREK ROSE and MICHELE McPHEE
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS
A severely malnourished 3-year-old Brooklyn girl with "old lady eyes" and a fractured skull was declared brain-dead yesterday as cops arrested her mother and questioned the woman's boyfriend.
Little Edith Gonzalez weighed just 16 pounds — half the weight of a normal 3-year-old — when her mother brought her to Woodhull Hospital on Monday afternoon, telling doctors the girl suffered a seizure. Suspicious doctors called police.
Cops were shocked by the sight of the child, who "survived much more than she should've," said one horrified police official. "She had old lady eyes, haunted. The poor little thing was abused and malnourished."
Her mother, Patricia Aguirrez, 25, was charged with reckless endangerment. Aguirrez's 27-year-old boyfriend was taken in for questioning yesterday.
Doctors at Woodhull desperately tried to save Edith, later transporting her to NYU Medical Center, where she was on a respirator last night.
Aguirrez told detectives that her daughter suffered seizures, then changed her story, saying the little girl recently was smuggled into the country from her homeland of Ecuador in recent days and was abused there, sources said.
"She tried telling all these stories, and we don't believe any of them," the police official said. "This little girl was beaten and starved right here in Brooklyn. There are other injuries consistent with child abuse."
Some neighbors on the child's block in Bushwick said Aguirrez and her boyfriend punished Edith and her 5-year-old brother by withholding food. But they conceded that no one called authorities.
Neighbors described Aguirrez and her boyfriend as troublemakers who often had fierce arguments in their second-floor apartment on George St., near Wilson Ave.
They also "used to fight in thestreet. They used to fight in the car," said neighbor Evelyn Roman, 45. "As long as he didn't hit [Aguirrez], I didn't butt in."
Another neighbor, Maria Carmona, also 45, said Edith "looked like a scared little girl. You could see the unhappiness in her eyes."
The Administration for Children's Services had no record of the family, but removed Edith's brother from the home yesterday, said Kathleen Carlson, a spokeswoman for the agency.
"If I had known something was happening [to the child] I would have stepped in," Roman said. "We protect our kids here."

'Skin and bones' baby girl dies; Mom pleads innocent
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
A Brooklyn mother pleaded innocent Wednesday to neglecting her emaciated 3-year-old daughter, who was “skin and bones” by the time she died, authorities said.
The girl, Edith Gonzalez, died Wednesday — two days after she was admitted to a hospital weighing 16 pounds and suffering from a skull fracture and other injuries.
Prosecutors told a judge that Patricia Aguirre, 24, gave a four-page written confession in which she admitted starving her daughter. She also claimed that the victim’s father, who was arrested Wednesday, had beaten the girl.
Aguirre was ordered held without bail on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment. The father, Edison Gonzalez, 27, was awaiting arraignment on the same charges.
Prosecutors were awaiting the outcome of an autopsy before deciding if the charges would be upgraded.
After Aguirre brought her child to the hospital on Monday, doctors discovered that the victim was covered with bruises and so malnourished she “was skin and bones,” a criminal complaint said.
Aguirre told police that her daughter had a seizure on Sunday, but decided not to seek medical care because she feared authorities would take the child away from her, the complaint said. The next day, the girl had another seizure, and fell and hit her head on the floor, the mother added.

More low-budget clown boyfriends
Man charged with DUI in drowning of children
CLINTON, Illinois (AP) --A man who was behind the wheel when a car went into a lake, killing three children strapped inside, has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs, authorities said.
Maurice Lagrone Jr., 28, also is charged with driving with a suspended license, DeWitt County State's Attorney Jerry Johnson said.
Lagrone and his girlfriend, Amanda Hamm, 28, escaped the car after it went off a boat ramp Tuesday evening, but Hamm's three children were trapped inside, DeWitt County Sheriff Roger Massey said.
Hamm called 911 from a pay phone and emergency workers were at the scene in about five minutes, but Christopher Hamm, 6, and Austin Brown, 3, were pronounced dead at a local hospital. Kyleigh Hamm, 23 months, was flown to a hospital in Peoria but died Wednesday.
Residents in the town of about 7,500 people grieved Wednesday at the restaurant where Hamm worked.
"We have a small community here dealing with some big tragedy," Massey said. Clinton is about 50 miles southeast of Peoria.
Authorities said a special prosecutor will be assigned because Hamm's mother works for the state's attorney.
"It's obvious that I'm not going to be able to handle this case," Johnson said Thursday.
The school where Christopher was a first-grader and Austin attended early childhood classes offered counseling to students.
The children were frequent visitors to the restaurant where Hamm worked, and customers and staff members spent Wednesday talking about the accident. Hamm's co-workers said they would solicit donations to help the family with expenses.
Restaurant manager Brenda Fouts said it was difficult reporting to work. "I'm doing OK, if you consider crying in spurts to be OK," she told The (Bloomington) Pantagraph.

I can't take it. I can hardly read the rest of the posts after the first 2 stories. This poor child is old enough to understand that her mom did this to her. My son just turned 2 and has no problem telling me, Joy did it (his sister). She may forget and she may not. Things like this haunt people in their adult years. Lord have mercy on our children.

TTT/another negligent mother
I think this story is out of upstate New York. The station's mailing address is Niskayuna, NY. I'm sick of this isht.
Warren County Baby Born Drunk
Police in Glens Falls say its a case like they've never seen before. An expectant mother was rushed to Glens Falls Hospital on Saturday to deliver a baby. However, when the baby was born, it had a blood alcohol content of .18. That's over twice the legal limit for an adult. 22-year old Stacey Gilligan was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sent to jail. No word on the condition of the baby.
Ms. Gilligan needs the stupid stick.

JACKSONVILLE,Florida
A 2-year-old girl left home alone for 2 1/2
weeks while her mother was in jail has been released from the hospital
after being treated for malnutrition and dehydration, officials said
Wednesday
The child, who survived by eating ketchup, mustard and dried pasta, was
released late Tuesday from Wolfson Children's Hospital to the custody of
the state Department of Children & Families.
"The only thing I can tell you is that she is in good condition,"
hospital spokesman David Foreman said.
The little girl had been left alone since her mother, Dakeysha Telita
Lee, was jailed September 10 for aggravated assault and petty theft,
police said. The mother was charged Monday with child abuse, and was
being held Tuesday on $20,000 bond.
The child's father, Ogden Lee, who is separated from the 22-year-old
mother, said he had been trying to contact her for two weeks and did not
learn until Sunday night that she was in jail.
When a manager let him into the apartment, the youngster was lying nude
in a baby's bathtub, covered with a towel and was watching a TV cartoon
channel. She was filthy and covered with dry ketchup and jelly, Sheriff
John Rutherford said Tuesday.

It's not just in NY.. Philly kids suffer too!
A man in philly watching his girlfriends 2-year old daughter for an hour punched the little girl so hard in the stomach her liver was tore and she bleed to death internally, when her mother took her to the hospital she told the doctors she think she had an allergic reaction to some peppers she ate earlier. The little girl is finally safe with God. I hope the man rots in hell!!!!!!!!!
