Good morning...
I'd like for all of the faithful of GreekChat to please pray for my mother. She had valve (as in heart) replacement surgery on Thursday and as a result of her asthma and the fact that her lungs were expanded they were not able to close her chest. She is on a respirator (sp?) right now and they have given her heavy setatives that have basically paralized her so she does not move. The doctors felt like it would be 3 - 5 days before the lungs went down enough for them to close her up. We are desparately praying for her because we believe God still has a work for her to do on this earth. I would appreciate it if you guys would pray too!!
Thanks!

Eclipse,
I'm sorry to hear of your mother's condition. But remember, God is truly Able. I'm praying for you and your family and that you'll have good news to share with us soon about your mom's recovery.
...stay strong.

Soror Ideal08, do not let your job stress you out. Try to hang in there.

Please pray for the family of one of my best friends Her 11 month old neice, Olivia (she would have turned 1 year old on December 26th) passed away last night weekend. The doctors believe it was due to the flu virus.
Thanks ladies!
ETA: It was due to the flu.

Eclipse, my prayers go out to you for a speedy recovery for your mother. Honeykiss1974, your friends family is in my prayers as well.
G-Ma goes into surgery on Wednesday. The doc said that she will be hospitalized for about 7 days. I pray that she makes a quick recovery and is able to come home before Christmas. Thanks for all of your continued prayers.

Please pray for my colleague whose 30-year-old son just committed suicide two days ago. He'd just recently gone through a divorce. Left a 5-year-old boy fatherless.
...pray yall.

I am so sorry to hear of that. You and your colleague (and his family) are in my prayers.
Lord, watch over the little baby.

Thanks to everyone that has prayed/continues to pray for my mother. I just wanted to give you guys an update...
The doctors closed my mom's chest on Monday afternoon and has begun to ween her off some of the meds that put her in the medically induced coma. Last night she was responding to the sound of our voice by trying to open her eyes. She's still heavily sedated, so no real movement is happening as of yet. She's had further complications with her kidneys, so she is temporarily on dialysis, but prayfully when she is moving around again everything will be o.k.
Thanks again everyone and I too send up a regular prayer for my "GC family" and what ever they need! Love you guys!!

I just wanted to tell you that G-Ma Savvy had surgery on yesterday morning. I finally spoke to HER a few minutes ago. They moved her out of ICU about 6:30 this morning, and she is on a regular moniter floor. She said that she's just tired, but she is over all feeling okay. They have her on and off oxygen because her oxygen saturation level could be higher, but she's doing pretty okay. She said that they are still monitering her progress, and she should be released in the next 5-7 days.
We will know probably tomorrow if the mass was malignant.
Your continued prayers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
