Kayla,

I wish you the best of luck. I went through rush as a sophomore and didn't pledge anywhere even though I was a legacy to soro on campus. When I got to school as a junior one of my friends approached me to help with a new soror on campus and by the end of my first semester as a junior I was an AGD. It is an amazing process and I hope that you get to experience it. I have gone back each year for formal RUSH and I get chills watching the chapter that I helped to create grow. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Best of Luck!!!
Erin

Unhappy Well...here's an update.

Sorry everyone for not updating in well...a really long time
I have bad news...it's over.

One of the girls went nuts and decided she was going to be a frat mat and completely diss the idea of being associated w/a respectable GLO. (if you sense bitterness you got it, )

Also, if just can't happen this semester, no matter how hard I tried to get girls that were interested. They thought that just because they were going to be the 'first' they wouldn't have to go through some pledge process or actual work. I guess they just wanted the letters. *shrugs and sighs*

Erika is still chasing her dream of being in a sorority and finding sisterhood here, and I hope she finds it Dont' worry, she's still one of my best buds

One day I may actually become greek...like...maybe an honorary to my great-great grandaughters glo! I guess I was just wanted to be apart of an actual sisterhood that had meaning behind it, not just one w/a cute mascot and a catchy name. Next fall will be my junior year and I honestly do not think I will become apart of any sororities here. Majority are falling apart due to cattiness within or really no "real" bonds between sisters.

So, this is it on this formally-hopeful thread

Kayla

ps: Thank you all for being encouraging and helpful on this!

You can always go through Recruitment as a junior. This semester we have three new members that are juniors. If you really want to be in a Greek organization, then go for it. I just think it bites that so many people dropped out. Such hard work gone to waste. Good luck at whatever you choose!
