Highs:
- I got a new printer -- so i get to print out all my pictures from my digital camera -- AWESOME quality
- I realized [yesterday] that the gym is open til 8pm. [i thought it closed at 6] -- so i can workout after work
- I HAVE MONDAY OFF... yay
- I've been working on a cross-stitch Lambda Chi Alpha crest for my brother who just graduated -- it'll be nice

Lows:
- My boyfriend is gone ALL summer working at a Christian Camp for Kids in Mo. And they dont have email access, and phone is restricted -- so I'm getting a lot of penpal practice!! [which could go under 'high' - since we get to communicate in a way we've never had to before]
- I'm back to co-oping for Cryovac Sealed Air Corp -- meaning, waking up at 530, out the door at 630, work 730-4! [in a cubicle... and the only girl... haha] Oh the life of a computer programmer.
- Weather has been kinda crummy... a lot of rain down here
- I have to take a 'Defensive Driving' class tomorrow [8hours] to take points off my license for a speeding ticket that i got while driving my best friend to the airport [he was late]. It was my first one ever... i was NOT happy.

Hmm, I have a lot of lows... it seems... but I'm actually quite content... gotta see what good is going on in your life -- not always concentrate on the bad! [my piece of advice for the day )

HIGHS:
*I've lost nearly 10 pounds since I've been home! Whoo Hoo, I'll be back in my bikini in no time!
*My best friend is coming to visit in 17 days! I can't wait!
*In 18 days I am going to see Justin Timberlake in concert!

LOWS:
*I'm not seeing my boyfriend until late August and though we haven't been together long I still miss him. This whole separation thing is new to me and I don't like it.

*Being home is boring, and I have like no friends left from high school. I want to go back to school!

HIGHS-I have finished the set up of registration for the Senior party. NO JOKE-I hade over 1400 individual "functons" to do and I didn't get the info in time to call my committee for help!

LOWS- My back is killing me-my knees hurt and I just want to go to sleep! Daughter is on her way to work at a summer camp and my son graduates SUNDAY!

Here is a gripe...
The parents of this class promote partying/drinking. Two couples sponsored a party and 6 other parents supervised. They had a margarita machine and beer!!! Of course THIS invitation didn't come through the mail and it never made it to the fridge. Another parent told me that on the invitation it said to have a designated driver!!!! WAIT, I KNOW IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO ALWAYS HAVE A DD, BUT-parents requesting one just shouts out DRINKING! There should NOT be alcohol at a party SPONSORED by adults! (or anywhere for that matter, adults just put a stamp of approval on it) I'm really having a hard time spelling tonight.
I asked if they knew about the recent IL case where they are going after parents who supplied beer. IDIOTS! Didn't even know about the case and THIS lady is an attorney's wife!!!
The set of parents hosting this party are ATTORNEYS!!! WTHell is wrong with people??? Anyway, my son came home to grab a bite
and all appeared to be OK. I think HE may have been the designated driver or else they didn't really have all that booze.
I'll have to find out in bits and pieces.

JAM,

Sounds like a couple of idiots that are just begging for a lawsuit though since they are attorneys there won't be any attorney fees.

HIGHS: Ok, I was all sad that I'd never hear from my boyfriend since he's at camp and doesnt have phone access.. He called 3 times yesterday.. they had a few hours free:
1. I was making dinner [salmon patties, which he was sad to be missing.. lol], he was waiting on his food at a restaurant.
2. I was in the shower, so I hopped out [with conditioner in still] and chatted with him, because they just got DONE with dinner.
3. At midnight, he knew i'd be sleeping, and they're an hour behind us, so all the cousellors at the camp went roller-skating, and he called to wish me a good night, and kinda...'tuck me in', in a sense.

YAY! I was excited

LOWS: still at work...

Lows: Joyner fell out of the hot tub tonight (on DH's watch) and one of her baby teeth came out - roots and all. It was ugly. We took her to the doctor (thank God for extended hours), and it looks like everything is okay. She did not need stitches, but we will have to take her to the dentist on Monday to have xrays and make sure no damage was done to the permanent tooth. Broke my heart to see her so upset! Now she'll have gap toothed pictures for the next three or four years until the permanent one comes in! Sadness!

Highs: School is out until late August!

LOWS: I just lost a contract on a house that I feel in love with. I am so sad . I did everything I could to get it-pre approval, credit approval, did not go down on asking price, I was going to pay all closing costs and I still lost it to someone else just b/c they are going to close in 2 weeks and I wanted to close in 1 month. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

AXO_MOM_3, Oh my! happens to the best of us. My son slipped in the tub when he was little and cracked off part of his front tooth. It exposed som nerve so he was in pain till it got fixed-which was immediately.
I've also seen 2 boys get their teeth "reimplanted" one after a trampoline accident, the other after a baseball. You COULD ask to have a cosmetic bridge rather than a spacer put in.

aggieAXO, So sorry to hear you lost your dream house. Is there much available where you live? Around here, there has been a ton of development going on so when you see "Lots for Sale", they really mean, "LOTS" for sale. They think interest rates may be headed lower, so maybe you will find something you like even MORE!

Highs-While son was in Florida, Hubby and I had a great time. It was like a little mini vacation from housework. Didn't have to nag him about graduation thank you notes. He sent them out BEFORE he deposited any checks.
Daughter is LOVING Ga. She has her weekends free so she drives to meet friends. Atlanta really has impressed her.
Going to the race track tonght. It has been a long time since we've done that.

Lows-None really. Just figuring out the fact that soon, I'm gonna need a hobby. I mean, how many times can one rearrange the furniture???

Highs: Thank God for weekends. This was one long week!
My boyfriend and I went dancing last night (we take ballroom lessons) and that was pretty cool.
Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny - so look out lake, here we come!

Lows: My boss is driving me NUTS!!! I work in an industry that has really suffered since 9/11 and I feel like my boss is "stealing" some of my resposibilities to make sure she stays busy and her job is safe.
My apartment is SO messy and I'm just not feeling the motivation to clean. Yuck.

HIGHS

~don't have to work tomorrow...yay! weather will prob. be sunny so that means that i will go to the pool and lie around getting tan

~my bday is in 21 days, i'll be 19 (doesn't sound as good as turning 18 though for some reason...hm)
~as i have posted before, our chapter got the highest gpa award! go us!

OOoooh fun. My boyfriend and I used to swing dance [well, he's in Missouri currently, so i'm sure we'll do it again when he's back
And along those lines... I got a letter from my boyfriend yesterday.. well let me back up, I got a letter from him a few days ago and on the back he traced his hand and said, 'this is me wanting to hold your hand' [cute.. but he's 23, i think he's been around the kids at camp too long.. haha] Then in this past letter, he drew the other hand, and wrote, "now you have both hands, we can swing dance"... it made me smile. ANYWAY, back to High's and Low's.

HIGHS: boyfriend stuff, found a recipe that I want to try out called, "Citrus Shrimp and Toasted Couscous Salad" ... so I'll try that out shortly. I'm nearly done with the Lambda Chi Alpha crest that I'm cross stitching for my brother!!! I got some sun on Sunday -- since it was all crummy on saturday, but i was excited.
I woke up this morning WIDE awake.. which was good, so i'm not tired for the hour drive to work. I'm going to play tennis today, which is cool, I havn't played since thursday!

LOWS: I had a WEIRD dream last night... about my boyfriend, and I was confused when I woke up.. but happy whenI realized it was JUST a dream. Other than that.. I'm A-OK.

That is THE sweetest thing for your BF to do -- your heart must have melted....

Lows...SICK as a dog and so is Eli. We have not been 100% since our trip to Disney back in April. DH was sick this past weekend, and now the two of us have it (and of course with the full-time-mom job, there ARE NO sick days!) -- so I am trying to get through it.

I also missed out on breakfast with my two alum friends since I didn't want to get them or their kids sick -- not to mention, its hard to see the screen right now, much less the road if I drove!

Highs...I saw an AXO from Clemson on the highway the other day -- we were both smiling and waving at each other. AXOTiger - you haven't been travelling have you? LOL!

aggieAXO: Hang in there! I know exactly how you feel! We had a contingency contract on a house several years ago, and someone bought it out from under us since we had not yet sold our first house. We were so upset! But it worked out - we have more square footage and acreage in the house we ended up buying for the same price! Hopefully things will work out as well for you!
AXO Alum: Hope you are feeling better soon! You were missed! Everything was just terrible.... Ahem, ahem! (Clearing my throat over here!)

Lows: I have my last project due Thursday, but I am in complete summer mode and cannot focus on it!

Highs: They had "bulky item" pickup this week, so I tossed some junk out on the curb and now it's gone! My house looks a little less cluttered anyway.

Highs:
I just wanted to share with my sisters that ......... I GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited, it is my dream house.

Here is description-it is located in a very nice neighborhood in Austin-Great Hill Trails in the Northwest part of town where there are large hills (I call them mountains though they are no where near the size of a mountain but coming from San Antonio where it is flat they look like mountains to me). The houes is 2 story, 3 bedrooms/2 baths. The upstairs consists entirely of the master bedroom/bathroom (which has a separate shower/tub-woohoo!!!). There is a deck upstairs that raps around the masterbedroom and the view is hill country and it is very private. Downstairs there are 2 more bedrooms and 1 more bath. There is also a deck here and a small backyard (now I can finally have that garden I always wanted). The kitchen has totally been revamped with granite countertops/new cabinets and new appliances. My absolute favorite part of the house is in the middle of the downstairs area there is an outside atrium-totally walled off by the den and breakfast area-my cats can finally go outside and enjoy some sun without me having to worry about them running off and getting hurt. I am soooo excited -I have been intensley saving for 3 years for this house but it is so worth it plus interest rates are so low .

Lows: I am going to miss my condo that I have lived in for 6 years. I will miss my opossums, deer, armadillos, racoons, snakes, (yes snakes) that I see almost every night-it is like a wildlife refuge outside my patio.
Moving is going to be a pain.
