Not that theres anything wrong with the last three, but theyre generalizations I had to shed light on
That's very true. People are so suprised to hear that I was born and raised in Atlanta, and have no distinct southern accent (except for the occasional y'all).

Everybody thinks that Lancaster is some big Amish-land. But they are really only centrally located in Strasburg and Gap with some other farms throughout the county. But I guess they had to commercialize it somewhere. Honestly, I don't get the big fascination with watching the Amish. Tour busses come through here all the time.

Other than that, I can't think of any other stereotypes. Nobody thinks about Pennsylvania I guess, except for Pittsburgh and Philly.

For fact, I am sure Iowa is the leading corn production state.
Aopirose beat me to it--It's UC Davis. For some reason, I thought Sac St. had some aggie programs also but I could be wrong

New York State is like California. We have farms galore upstate and on Long Island. There are apple orchards, vineyards, dairy farms, and corn. There are still two working farms in Queens which is one of the boroughs of New York City. I always thought that every state was required to have a state run agricultural and veterinarian school.
