LOL. Yes, that's what they dress like. They make a mockery of Saved by the Bell, not knowing that I wanted to BE Lisa Turtle growing up. lol.

My cousin got in the car and sat in my back seat. He asked me what the twirly thing did.

It was the knob to roll the window down.

Something that just reminds me of my age is when filling out my birth date on online forms. I have to scroll...and scroll...to get to my birth year.

I look a bit younger than my age, and when people who think I am much younger find out my actual age, they say things like "you're THAT old?".

Right now, my back makes me feel old. I'm walking like an old lady. Between sitting in my car for 3 hours a day (to and from work), my crappy ass old bed that needs replaced (I have a Trump Serta mattress picked out, just need to wait a few payhecks before I can afford it), standing in horrible steel toed boots for 10 hours a day (got new ones yesterday though, hope they help) and needing to lose about 20-30 pounds.... my lower back is killing me.

I work at a kids camp, and was mocked last week for learning to read from a book and not a Baby Einstein dvd. The history and English student in me just died a little.

Ohhhh... not only am I too old to have learned to read with a Baby Einstein video (Dick and Jane, anyone?), but my kids are too old to have learned to read with Baby Einstein.

OK, when did these Baby Einstein videos come out/become popular? I had never heard of them until my niece was born ( 6 years ago). I'm assuming that children who learned via BE must of been born in the 90s.

I learned to read with Little Golden Books; I used to love reading Poky Little Puppy to my grandmother and little cousins

LOL. You're either old or you're just coolerererer than she is.

On that note, when the teenagers don't know that certain songs are remakes or they think certain songs and artists are new. Then I show them the date that the song was released and the artist first came on the music scene.

I remember when my parents used to school us on music like that. They'd get out the 8-tracks and albums and tell us what's what. That's one reason why I still prefer older music and listen to the old folks stations.

Yep.

I'll hear things like "Nicki Minaj/Lil Wayne/Kanye/OtherRandomArtist is so original! The best ever!" and end up letting them know that 90% of the artists' songs are sampled from older artists.

I hate Nicki Minaj. I also hate when I accidentally memorize her lyrics.

The sad thing is that I actually liked Lil Wayne before he became what he is now. He's annoying now but that's what the younger people like.

This reminds me of when Puff Daddy (when he still went by that) sampled Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" for that God-awful Godzilla movie soundtrack and I overheard some kid exclaim that "They took this riff from Puff Daddy" when the original Zeppelin song was playing in a store.

I almost always recognize the remake (and I know I'm not a teenager, but still) because of my dad's musical tastes and tendencies to play the same tape...yeah, it took him a long time switch to CD's and we're just now teaching him how to use the iPod on the iPhone he got for work...over and over and over and over. But many of my friends do not recognize that the songs are remakes and it makes me sad they missed out on great music.

I felt old when I got my first mailing from AARP.

I was 19. The mailing came to my college address. I wasn't even old enough to drink legally, never mind retire.
