Yeah Carrie won!!!!!

My thing is, why do they make these poor winners sing a song after they have won? They usually can't do the song very well because they are so choked up with emotion and being a singer that is the worst way to try to sing a song. I still distinctly remember Kelly not being able to sing her song very well. Oh well what can you do.

I must say that I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Bo singing Sweet Home Alabama (one of my favorite songs).

Okay off to watch Alias....

I so <3 Carrie! I'm so glad she won! I mean Bo rocked in his own way too, but just not so much the AI way. Carrie reminded me SOOO much of Kelly so I'm sure she's gonna rock and I'll love her too years to come!!

Yes, Carrie has a great voice, but man...I am so sick of this bubble gum crap.
My guess is that Carrie will go country eventually. That's where her heart lies. Besides, Bo being forced to sing the same bubble gum crap would not have been good.

I definitly think he'll get a record deal for himself, but I'm starting to wonder whether AI does more harm than good. Sure they get a record deal, and sure even some of the runners-up get record deals, but they never seem to go anywhere. They all seem to disappear. Where's Clay, Ruben, Fantasia? The only one that seems to have gone anywhere is Kelly.

Once the show's over the "fans" forget about them.

ETA: I guess it's good that BO, didn't win. LIke others have said, now he can get his own contract with another company and do his onw thing and maybe he won't turn into to whinny bubble gum rock like Creed.

Alright, I haven't watched Idol since the second season, but on the radio this morning they played "Sweet Home Alabama" w/ Bo singing from last night, and he was awesome!

Ok I'm sorry, but something doesn't smell right here.

Were there a lot of Carrie fans? Course there were. But am I the only one who saw in almost every t.v. show, poll, mag, etc. that people were pulling for Bo? I just don't understand how Carrie won, especially after that a capella Bo did last week, that just KILLED it for me.

Like you guys said, Bo isn't under a contact like Carrie will be, so he'll have more artistic freedom to do what he wants!

What did you think of the skit spoofing the PrimeTime Live expose? I was cracking up.

I was pulling for Bo but I am happy for Carrie. I think she is a very deserving winner. It is good to have two talented people in the finals.

I was so happy when I saw that Carrie won. My boyfriend and I saw her audition way back when and we both said, "That girl is gonna win." We both couldn't believe that we were right. LOL.

Clay's album (the first one) sold like triple what Kelly's did. He then got caught up in 19Evils web where they decided that he would be the next Barry Manilow. That cheesy Christmas special was the last straw for him. He hired an uber-lawyer (the same one Mario got) and wiggled out from that terrible contract.

He is now working on releasing HIS album - which will include songs that he wrote - later this year. He just had to take time out to work and to give some space between him & 19Evil.

He's also a UNICEF ambassador for education and has pretty much been out of the country for a good chunk of the year. He's touring this summer on the east coast. And I hate to correct, but actually he was out of his contract with 19E when that special aired. Oops. Yeah it was weird and lots of fans thought so. Can't win em all I suppose.

Ruben (according to my local paper), is a top ten Gospel recording artist. Apparently he's got a tour and new album in the works as well.

Fantasia... I can't remember what my paper said. She was doing... something. I don't really care though.

BWAHAHA! Cuz you know if Constantine were up there rather than Carrie, you KNOW 19E would have run with that idea. Oh that makes me laugh!
