May sweeps -- Aaron proposes or they elope
darnell and william still fighting
I think Joan sleeping with a married man is something they made up just now, this season.

You're right..... this is the person I was thinking of, per wikipedia:
Frank Anderson (Kent Faulcon) dated Joan while also being married to his wife. In the first season of Girlfriends, Frank's wife chases around for who ever is going out with her husband, both Lynn and Toni at one point take credit for it until the end of the episode when it is revealed that Joan was dating him without knowing he was married. They subsequently chase him out of Joans house and presumably the next day put up a billboard poster with Frank's face on a dog, declaring "Women Beware of Dog."

Yes and that was before Shawn. Wasn't that the series premiere? She wasn't with Frank that long and I don't recall them ever consummating the relationship. That is why it is ing to me that Joan got with Keith years later.
Oh well. This show is shark bait. It was interesting to see how many men Maya was with during the divorce versus Darnell.

DVD Available Today
The DVD for Season One Of Girlfriends is available today. I tried to get it at Walmart so I could watch it at work, but they were running late with getting the new releases out (darnit).
I don't remember Joan sleeping with a married man neither, I guess I need to have a "Girlfriends" night and watch all of Season One when I get home (if I can get the series today).
Oh, and just in case you haven't read my introduction thread, my name is Risingstar, good to meet everyone.

I don't think it was ever shown. I would have remembered something like that.
I think the writers just made that up and threw it in there for dramatic effect.

I thought that last night, but then I realized that I missed some of the first season so I wasn't sure. I thought William and Darnell were hilarious. Like two grown kids.
Soooooo, do you guys think Monica is going to come back? Or has she left this show? I'm not sure if this question has been asked. Sorry if this is a duplicate question.

The episode where she dated Frank was not the series premiere, but it was during the first season. Frank's wife came to Joan's house wielding a butcher knife to ask which one of the GF's was sleeping with her husband. Joan never slept with Frank (I don't think), they just went out on a couple of dates.
The series' premiere was called "Toe Sucking" and that was the episode where Toni dated Joan's ex, Charles, and brought him to Joan's house for her birthday party. Maya had commented in typical "Maya fashion" by telling Toni that she what she was doing (dating Charles) was like blue eyeshadow on Black women, "WRONG!!!" She also made the comment about the word "kiss" being a verb and a noun, and promptly told Toni, "So you can either give my azz a kiss or kiss my azz!!!" Hope this provides some clarification.

This whole relationship/affair that Joan had ol' boy on the last episode was never shown. This was some spur-of-the-moment, fly-by-night tryst that was made up for this episode.
I do remember when she was dealing with the married man because Toni was also at the time. they were trying to determine who's wife the crazy chick was.

Exactly @ 1st paragraph
Remember it quite well because the guy Toni was seeing played Zaria's boyfriend on Parenthood with Robert Townsend.

Yep! And he was one the "Pros" on One-on-One. He was the guy that made the Hotties list and tried to take advantage of Spirit in the laundry room.
I'm mad that we know all this random trivia about all these old television shows! Or is it that some of these actors/actresses being recycled too much....?
A grown man on one show and a high school student on another. Stop the madness.

Before I get corrected, the show was The Parent 'Hood not Parenthood. I just looked up the actor's real name on IMDB.com. His name is Nigel Thatch and RD, he also played on Half and Half among several other shows. When he played on the Girlfriends' episode, his name was Keith in the episode entitled "The Importance of Being Frank."
And yes, we know our TV trivia quite well.

also to add to the trivia, Keith whom Toni was dating, or just having sex with ended up not being married at all. He just told Toni that to make the sex more exciting.
they never showed Joan having gthis affair with Keith on screen..I'm watching the rerun of Girlfriends now that they show on Sunday, and all I can say is I have been loving me some Richard T. Jones since The Wood, and yes that is a good looking chocolate man. ...
